Viele Besitzer einer Monster 1200 entdecken früher oder später die Rennstrecke, und ein Trackday auf einem großen Naked Bike lehrt eine Menge über das Bremsen. Accossatos RA002 ist ein klappbarer Vorderradbremshebel für die Monster 1200 von 2016 bis 2020 mit einem ungewöhnlichen Extra: einem 90-Grad-Fernversteller. Damit lässt sich der Hebel während der Fahrt mit der linken Hand neu einstellen, die rechte bleibt am Gasgriff, und niemand muss in die Boxengasse fahren, um die Einstellung zu ändern.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Der RA002 folgt dem Aufbau der anderen Accossato-Klapphebel: eine schwarz eloxierte Basis am Drehpunkt und ein farbiges Hebelblatt, das über ein Gelenk mit ihr verbunden ist, beide aus Aluminium gefräst. Was ihn unterscheidet, ist der Ort, an dem eingestellt wird. Der Hebel arbeitet mit einem Fernversteller, den Accossato als 90-Grad-Fernversteller beschreibt, und dessen Halter gibt es in zwei Größen, 35 mm oder 60 mm. Die Blattfarben sind Schwarz, Blau, Gold, Grün, Orange, Rot und Silber, jeweils mit oder ohne RST-Aussparung.
Von der kalten ersten bis zur warmen letzten Session
Ein Trackday ist lang. Die erste Session beginnt oft auf kühlem Asphalt, mit Reifen und Bremsen, die noch nicht auf Temperatur sind, und einem Fahrer, der seine Linien und Bremspunkte erst noch sucht. Am Nachmittag ist der Belag warm, das Tempo gestiegen, und es wird härter und später gebremst. Es wäre erstaunlich, wenn sich die Hebeleinstellung, die sich auf der Monster 1200 um neun Uhr morgens richtig anfühlte, um vier Uhr nachmittags immer noch richtig anfühlen würde.
Mit einem herkömmlichen Einsteller bedeutet jede Änderung: reinfahren, anhalten, zum Hebel greifen. An einer Monster 1200 mit dem RA002 nehmen Sie diese Änderung auf einer Geraden mit der linken Hand vor und spüren das Ergebnis in der nächsten Bremszone. Üben Sie den Handgriff zuerst in der Garage, mit Handschuhen, damit er zur Routine wird. Und weil das Hebelblatt selbst klappen kann, bedeutet ein langsamer Rutscher ins Kiesbett nicht automatisch das Ende des Tages für den Hebel.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Der RA002 ist für die Monster 1200 von 2016 bis 2020 gelistet und passt an den originalen Bremszylinder. Dieselben Jahre decken der Klapp-Bremshebel LV013 ohne Fernversteller und der Klapp-Kupplungshebel LV015 ab. Die Monster 1200 R und 1200 S haben in unserem Shop eigene Produktseiten.
Straßenzulassung
Für den RA002 ist keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert. Er ist ein Teil für die Rennstrecke, und genau dafür hat Accossato ihn auch konstruiert.
