Die XSR700 kam 2016 als Retro-Schwester der MT-07 auf den Markt, mit deren Reihenzweizylinder, aber in klassischem Gewand mit rundem Scheinwerfer. Für viele Besitzer ist sie ein Schönwettermotorrad, das den Winter unter einer Plane verbringt, und bei der ersten Ausfahrt im Frühjahr zählt ein gut platzierter Bremshebel am meisten. Der EDF016 von Accossato passt zu diesem Moment: Aus Aluminium gefräst für die XSR700 von 2016 bis 2022, wird er am originalen Bremszylinder montiert und lässt sich im Abstand zum Griff einstellen.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Eloxiertes Aluminium braucht weder Politur noch Wachs. Ein Abwischen mit Wasser und einem milden Reiniger lässt den EDF016 so aussehen wie am Tag der Montage; starke alkalische Reiniger und Scheuerschwämme sollten Sie besser fernhalten, weil sie die farbige Schicht stumpf machen können. Accossato fräst den Hebel auf CNC-Anlagen aus Aluminium und eloxiert ihn mit schwarzer Nabe und farbigem Blatt. Das Blatt ist starr, ohne Klappgelenk, und der Griffweiteneinsteller sitzt in der Nabe nahe am Drehpunkt.
Die erste Ausfahrt nach dem Winter
Nach Monaten ohne Motorrad ist die erste Fahrt des Jahres ein kleines Wiedersehen, und die Bremsen verdienen etwas Vorsicht. Die Reifen sind kalt und haben vielleicht Luft verloren, auf der Straße können noch Salz und Split vom Winter liegen, und die eigenen Reaktionen sind eingerostet. Es lohnt sich, auf den ersten Kilometern oft und sanft zu bremsen, die Haftung zu erfühlen und die rechte Hand wieder an den Hebel zu gewöhnen. Das ist leichter, wenn der Hebel von vornherein richtig eingestellt wurde. Setzen Sie sich vor dem Saisonstart mit den Handschuhen, in denen Sie fahren werden, auf die XSR700 und stellen Sie den EDF016 so ein, dass das Blatt Ihre Finger trifft, ohne dass Sie sich strecken müssen. Prüfen Sie dann, ob das Bremslicht angeht, sobald sich der Hebel bewegt. Ein kurzes Blatt passt zum Bremsen mit zwei Fingern an einem so leichten Motorrad; das Standardblatt ist die naheliegende Wahl, wenn Sie mit der ganzen Hand bremsen.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Der EDF016 ist für die XSR 700 ohne Unterbrechung von 2016 bis 2022 gelistet und passt anstelle des Serienhebels an den originalen Vorderradbremszylinder. Für die Kupplung ist der passende Hebel der ESY688, beachten Sie aber, dass seine Liste für die XSR700 von 2016 bis 2020 und dann wieder für 2022 reicht; 2021 ist nicht enthalten. Straßenzulassung
Für diesen Hebel gibt es keine Dokumentation einer deutschen ABE; wir verkaufen ihn für die Rennstrecke.
