Die Trophy 1200 ist Triumphs großer, voll verkleideter Tourer: ein Dreizylinder, Kardanantrieb, ein elektrisch verstellbarer Windschild und eine Sitzposition, gemacht für lange Tage. Motorräder dieser Art verbringen Stunden mit Autobahntempo, und der Moment, in dem sie die Autobahn verlassen, gehört zu den am meisten unterschätzten jeder Reise. Der Accossato EDF014 für die Trophy 1200 von 2013 bis 2017, SE eingeschlossen, ist ein aus Aluminium gefräster Bremshebel, der an den originalen Bremszylinder passt, mit einstellbarem Abstand zum Griff.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Auf einer langen Reise wird der Bremshebel eines Tourers tausende Male berührt, von Sommerhandschuhen, Winterhandschuhen und nassen Handschuhen. Der EDF014 antwortet darauf mit einer Oberfläche, die zum Metall gehört: Er wird auf CNC-Maschinen aus Aluminium gefräst und eloxiert, ein Verfahren, das die Oberfläche in ein hartes, farbiges Oxid verwandelt, statt sie zu überziehen. Die Nabe ist immer schwarz und trägt den Drehpunkt ebenso wie den Griffweiten-Einsteller. Das Blatt, nach Ihrer Bestellung eingefärbt, ist von einem Ende zum anderen starr, ohne Gelenk, das sich über die Kilometer lockern könnte.
Die Autobahn verlassen
Nach ein oder zwei Stunden mit gleichmäßigem Autobahntempo stellt sich Ihr Gefühl für Geschwindigkeit neu ein. Ein Tempo, das sich auf der Landstraße flott anfühlen würde, wirkt jetzt wie Schleichen, und die enge Kurve am Ende der Ausfahrt kommt schneller heran, als es scheint. Verkehrssicherheitstrainer kennen diesen Effekt gut, und hinter einer Vollverkleidung, die den Wind abhält und den Lärm dämpft, wird der Eindruck von Geschwindigkeit noch weiter abgestumpft. Vertrauen Sie dem Tacho statt Ihrem Gefühl, und beginnen Sie am Anfang der Ausfahrt zu bremsen, nicht an ihrem Ende. Bremsen Sie in Stufen: ein erster, sanfter Zug, wenn Sie die Hauptfahrbahn verlassen, ein kräftigerer, sobald sich das Motorrad beruhigt hat, und ein letzter Blick auf den Tacho vor der Kurve. Ein gut erreichbarer Hebel macht diesen ersten Zug selbstverständlich, nach Stunden, in denen die rechte Hand eine einzige Position gehalten hat und die Finger ein wenig steif geworden sind. Stellen Sie die Griffweite mit Ihren Tourenhandschuhen an der aufrecht stehenden Trophy ein, nicht während sie auf dem Seitenständer lehnt, damit das Handgelenk in seinem Fahrwinkel liegt.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den EDF014 sowohl für die Trophy 1200 als auch für die Trophy 1200 SE, jeweils von 2013 bis 2017, und der Hebel ersetzt das Originalteil am serienmäßigen Bremszylinder. Für die linke Hand fertigt Accossato den Kupplungshebel ESC777 für dieselben Motorräder und Jahre, ein passendes Paar ist also möglich. Lange Blätter gibt es in Blau, Gold, Grün und Orange, kurze zusätzlich in Silber, während Schwarz und Rot als Standardhebel kommen.
Straßenzulassung
Für diesen Bremshebel liegt keine deutsche Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis (ABE) vor, er wird für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke angeboten.
