Unter den straßenorientierten Versionen von Triumphs großem Adventure-Tourer bringt die Tiger 1200 XRx mehr Ausstattung mit als die XR, und sie ist die Art Motorrad, die im Oktober genauso selbstverständlich gefahren wird wie im Juni. Der Herbst bringt seine eigenen Bedingungen mit, und Nebel gehört dazu: eine graue Wand quer über einer Talstraße, die einen vertrauten Arbeitsweg zum Ratespiel macht. Der Accossato EDF014 ist ein Bremshebel für die XRx von 2018 bis 2021, aus Aluminium gefräst und am originalen Bremszylinder montiert, mit einer Griffweite, die Sie so einstellen können, dass Ihre Finger ihn finden, ohne zu suchen.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Feuchte Luft, kalte Morgen und taunasse Straßen setzen blankem Metall zu, und an einer XRx, die durch den Herbst gefahren wird, sitzt der Bremshebel mitten im Fahrtwind. Der EDF014 wird aus Aluminium gefräst und anschließend eloxiert. Dabei wird seine Oberfläche in eine harte Oxidschicht umgewandelt, die das Metall darunter schützt und die Farbe des Blatts trägt. Die Nabe, in der Drehpunkt und Griffweiten-Einsteller sitzen, ist bei jeder Ausführung schwarz. Von dort bis zur Spitze ist der Hebel ein einziges starres Stück, ohne Klappgelenk, in dem sich Feuchtigkeit und Straßenschmutz festsetzen könnten, und ein feuchtes Tuch ist alles, was er zur Pflege braucht.
Wenn der Nebel kommt
Nebel verändert die Rechnung beim Bremsen. Wenn Sie nur ein kurzes Stück voraussehen, kommt alles, was Sie zum Langsamerwerden zwingt, spät: die Rücklichter eines langsamen Traktors, die Schlange vor einem Kreisverkehr, ein Radfahrer mit schwacher Lampe. Die erste Regel ist das Tempo, langsam genug, um innerhalb der Sichtweite anhalten zu können. Die zweite ist eine Hand, die bereit ist. Stellen Sie an der XRx die Griffweite so ein, dass das Blatt mit Ihren Winterhandschuhen knapp vor den Fingerspitzen liegt, und fahren Sie mit locker liegenden Fingern, statt sie um den Lenker zu klammern. Wenn sich im Grau etwas abzeichnet, ist die Hand schon in Position, und das Bremsen kann als kräftiger, progressiver Zug beginnen statt als hastiges Zupacken. Denken Sie an die Fahrer hinter Ihnen, die noch weniger von Ihnen sehen als Sie von der Straße: Bremsen Sie früh und gleichmäßig, damit Ihr Bremslicht aufleuchtet, lange bevor Sie stark verzögern. Und wischen Sie das Visier oft ab, denn Nebel schlägt sich außen ebenso nieder wie innen.
Passform und Kompatibilität
In der Liste von Accossato erscheint der EDF014 für die Tiger 1200 von 2018 bis 2021, ohne eigene Zeile für die Ausstattungsvarianten. Der Hebel passt an den originalen Bremszylinder dieser Baureihe, und weil unsere Garage jede Version einzeln führt, hat die Tiger 1200 XRx für diese vier Jahre ein eigenes Produkt. Einen Kupplungshebel von Accossato enthält der Eintrag nicht.
Straßenzulassung
Für diesen Hebel wurde keine deutsche Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis (ABE) dokumentiert, und wir liefern ihn für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke.
