Die F4 ist das Motorrad, mit dem MV Agusta Ende der 1990er Jahre zurückkehrte, und ihre Form mit vier Auspufföffnungen unter dem Heck und einer Einarmschwinge lässt die Leute auf der Straße noch immer stehen bleiben. Die ab 2010 gebaute Generation verfeinerte dieses Design, und viele Exemplare sind heute Wochenend-Motorräder, die den Winter drinnen verbringen. Eine lange Standzeit ist für manche Teile schonender als für andere. Der Accossato EDF099 ist ein CNC-gefräster Aluminium-Bremshebel für die F4 von 2010 bis 2018, eloxiert, in der Griffweite einstellbar und in drei Blattlängen gefertigt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Der EDF099 wird durch CNC-Fräsen aus Aluminium geformt und dann eloxiert, die Nabe in Schwarz und das Blatt in Schwarz, Blau, Rot, Orange, Gold, Silber oder Grün. Das Eloxieren erzeugt eine dichte Oxidschicht, die Teil des Metalls ist. Es gibt also keinen Lackfilm, der Feuchtigkeit aufnehmen und sich heben könnte. Die Nabe nimmt Drehpunkt und Griffweitenverstellung auf. Das Blatt hat kein Gelenk, und damit gibt es keine Verbindung, die schwergängig werden oder sich lockern könnte, während das Motorrad monatelang steht.
Ohne Spuren durch den Winter
Eine F4, die im Herbst eingemottet wird, trifft auf eine langsame, stille Art von Verschleiß: Kondenswasser in einer kalten Garage, eine Abdeckung, die Feuchtigkeit einschließt, Staub, der sich auf jeder Oberfläche absetzt. Lackierte Teile zeigen das oft zuerst. Ein eloxierter Hebel kommt gut damit zurecht, doch ein wenig Pflege vor dem Einlagern lohnt sich trotzdem. Reinigen Sie den EDF099 mit mildem Seifenwasser, trocknen Sie ihn ab und halten Sie aggressive Reiniger von der Oberfläche fern. Eine atmungsaktive Abdeckung und ein trockener, belüfteter Raum erledigen den Rest. Wenn der Frühling kommt, prüfen Sie den Hebel vor der ersten Fahrt. Ziehen Sie ihn bei stehendem Motorrad kräftig, um sicherzugehen, dass sich die Bremse so fest anfühlt wie im Herbst, und lassen Sie sie überprüfen, wenn das nicht so ist. Schauen Sie sich dann die Griffweite noch einmal an: Nach Monaten ohne Motorrad, und womöglich mit anderen Handschuhen, kann sich Ihre bevorzugte Einstellung verändert haben. An einer so scharfen Maschine wie der F4 sind diese paar Minuten gut investiert, denn bei der ersten Fahrt des Jahres sind die Hände am wenigsten geübt.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den EDF099 für die F4 von 2010 bis 2018, mit Einträgen für die F4 1000 von 2011 bis 2018, die F4 1000 S von 2010 bis 2012 und die F4 1000 R von 2013 bis 2015. Der Hebel passt an den originalen Bremszylinder des Motorrads. Für die Kupplung ist der ESH011 für dieselben Jahre geführt.
Straßenzulassung
Der EDF099 wird für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke verkauft, weil für ihn keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert ist.
