Die California 1400 Touring wurde für lange Reisen gebaut, mit Windschild, Seitenkoffern und Platz für einen Sozius, und mit Sozius an Bord wird jeder Halt geteilt. Ein plötzliches Zupacken vorn lässt die Helme gegeneinanderstoßen, ein sanftes geht fast unbemerkt vorüber. Der Accossato EDF023 ist ein Bremshebel für die California Touring ABS 1400 von 2014 bis 2020: ein eloxierter Aluminiumhebel, der mit dem von Moto Guzzi verbauten Bremszylinder arbeitet und dessen Griffweite Sie auf Ihre eigene Hand einstellen.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Der EDF023 wird auf CNC-Maschinen aus massivem Aluminium gefräst, was dem Hebel eine präzise Form und einen gleichmäßigen Blattquerschnitt gibt. Das Eloxieren härtet und färbt anschließend die Oberfläche, schwarz an der Nabe und in Ihrer Wunschfarbe entlang des Blatts. Drehpunkt und Einsteller sitzen in der Nabe, der Rest des Hebels ist ein einziges starres Blatt ohne Gelenk, das Spiel hineinbringen könnte. Ein Hebel ohne Spiel lässt den Anfang seines Wegs deutlich spüren, und bei einem beladenen Tourer entscheidet genau dieser erste Teil des Wegs, ob ein Halt sanft gelingt.
Bremsen mit Sozius
Ein Sozius sieht den Verkehr vor sich nicht und kann sich nicht im Voraus abstützen, jede Tempoänderung trifft ihn also überraschend. Mit Beifahrer auf der California 1400 Touring geht es darum, die Verzögerung zu formen: den Leerweg des Hebels überwinden, die Beläge anlegen, dann den Druck über etwa eine Sekunde aufbauen und kurz vor dem Stillstand sanft nachlassen, damit die Gabel nicht zurückfedert. Schauen Sie weit voraus und bremsen Sie früher als allein, denn die zusätzliche Last verlängert den Bremsweg. Fahren zu zweit verlangt eher eine ruhige als eine starke Hand, und genau da hilft die Position des Hebels: Stellen Sie den EDF023 so ein, dass er unter entspannten Fingern liegt, dann lässt sich die sanfte Anfangsphase jedes Halts leicht wiederholen. Auch eine kurze Einweisung vor der Fahrt lohnt sich: Der Sozius sollte sein Gewicht auf den Fußrasten halten und sich am Haltegriff oder an Ihrer Taille festhalten, statt sich gegen Ihren Rücken zu stemmen.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt zwei Touring-Versionen für den EDF023: California 1400 Touring für 2014 bis 2020 und California 1400 Touring SE für 2015 und 2016. Der Hebel kommt an den originalen Vorderrad-Bremszylinder der Touring. Auf der Kupplungsseite ist der ESC023 von Accossato für dieses Motorrad von 2014 bis 2021 geführt, ein Modelljahr länger als der Bremshebel. Blaue, goldene, grüne und orange Blätter gibt es in jeder Länge, Silber in Standard und kurz, Schwarz und Rot nur in Standard.
Straßenzulassung
Für diesen Hebel ist keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert. Wir bieten ihn deshalb für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke an.
