Die 1090 Adventure R wurde für Fahrer gebaut, die den Asphalt absichtlich verlassen: Federelemente mit langem Federweg, Speichenräder mit 21-Zoll-Vorderrad und eine Ergonomie, die auch im Stehen funktioniert. Im Gelände wird viel im Stehen auf den Fußrasten gefahren, und das verändert, wie die rechte Hand die Vorderradbremse erreicht. Der Accossato EDB012 ist ein CNC-gefräster Aluminium-Bremshebel für die KTM 1090 Adventure R, aufgeführt für 2017 bis 2019, mit einstellbarem Abstand zum Griff.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fräst den EDB012 aus Aluminium und eloxiert ihn dann zweifarbig: schwarz für die Nabe mit Drehpunkt und Griffweiteneinsteller, farbig für das Blatt. Im Gelände sammelt ein Hebel Staub, Schlamm und gelegentlich einen Stein, und eine eloxierte Oberfläche kommt mit diesem Alltag besser zurecht als Lack, weil die Farbe Teil der Oxidschicht ist und keine Schicht darüber. Das Blatt ist als ein Stück fest mit der Nabe verbunden; nichts daran klappt oder bewegt sich in einem Gelenk.
Bremsen im Stehen
Das Stehen auf den Rasten hebt den Körper an und bringt ihn nach vorn, und die Arme kommen in einem steileren Winkel zum Lenker. Von dort treffen die Finger den Bremshebel eher von oben als von hinten. Geländefahrer bremsen in dieser Haltung meist mit einem oder zwei Fingern und lassen die anderen um den Griff gelegt, um sich über unebenem Boden festzuhalten, und sie brauchen das Blatt nah genug, um es ohne Hinsehen zu finden. Wenn Sie den EDB012 nach innen verstellen, erreichen Sie genau das. Das kurze Blatt ist die natürliche Wahl für das Bremsen mit einem oder zwei Fingern auf losem Untergrund, weil es dort endet, wo diese Finger liegen, und die anderen nie gegen den Griff klemmt. Auf Schotter verlangt der Vorderreifen sanften, progressiven Druck, und ein Hebel, der genau unter der Fingerkuppe liegt, macht das leichter. Accossato kennt dieses Terrain aus der eigenen Geschichte: 1985 gewann das Unternehmen einen Enduro-Weltmeistertitel.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den EDB012 für dieses Motorrad von 2017 bis 2019. Der Katalogeintrag lautet Adventure 1050 R; die Jahre sind die der 1090 Adventure R, für die dieses Produkt bestimmt ist. Der Hebel wird anstelle des Serienteils am originalen Bremszylinder montiert. Für die linke Seite nennt Accossato den Kupplungshebel ESA090 für dieselben drei Jahre, die 1090 Adventure R kann also ein passendes Paar tragen.
Straßenzulassung
Für den EDB012 ist keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert; er wird für den Einsatz auf abgesperrten Strecken und Rennstrecken verkauft.
