Die Versys 650 nimmt den Reihenzweizylinder aus Kawasakis 650er-Baureihe und setzt ihn in ein hohes, aufrechtes Straßenmotorrad mit langen Federwegen, eine Kombination, die sie auf holprigen Straßen bequem und im Alltag leicht fahrbar macht. Dasselbe Fahrwerk bringt beim Bremsen viel Bewegung in die Front. Accossatos EDF021 ersetzt den Vorderradbremshebel der Versys 650 von 2015 bis 2024 durch ein gefrästes Aluminiumteil, dessen einstellbare Griffweite Ihnen hilft, die Bremse so sanft anzulegen, wie es eine Gabel mit langem Federweg verdient.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Der EDF021 wird auf CNC-Maschinen aus Aluminium geformt und anschließend eloxiert. Seine schwarze Nabe trägt Lagerbohrung und Griffweiteneinsteller, die beiden Elemente, die entscheiden, wo der Hebel sitzt und wie er sich bewegt. Das Blatt, nach Ihrer Bestellung eingefärbt, ist von der Nabe bis zur Spitze fest und starr, sodass nichts vom Ziehen in einem Gelenk verloren geht. Die eloxierte Oberfläche ist fester Bestandteil des Metalls, und so bleibt die Farbe über Jahre auf dem Hebel, statt auf die Handfläche Ihres Handschuhs abzufärben.
Erst anlegen, dann bremsen
An einem Motorrad mit langem Gabelweg entscheidet der erste Moment des Bremsens darüber, wie sich der Rest des Stopps anfühlt. Packen Sie den Hebel abrupt, taucht die Gabel schnell ein, das Motorrad nickt nach vorn, und der Fahrer wird auf den Lenker geschoben. Ziehen Sie ihn progressiv, federt die Gabel kontrolliert ein, der Vorderreifen ist belastet, bevor die volle Kraft ankommt, und die Versys 650 bleibt ruhig und gelassen. Am deutlichsten merkt ein Sozius den Unterschied, denn bei einem ruppigen Stopp stößt sein Helm leicht gegen Ihren. Die Technik ist leicht beschrieben: Leerweg aufnehmen, die Beläge anliegen lassen, dann den Druck über etwa eine Sekunde steigern. Gut umsetzen lässt sie sich leichter, wenn das Blatt bereits dort sitzt, wo Ihre Finger sind, sodass der erste Kontakt ein Ziehen ist und kein Zugreifen aus der gestreckten Hand. Der Einsteller am EDF021 macht das möglich, und das lange Blatt mit seiner zusätzlichen Hebelwirkung hilft Fahrern, die gern die ganze Hand einsetzen.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den EDF021 für die Versys 650 von 2015 bis 2024, unter zwei Katalogeinträgen: Versys 650 E für 2015 und 2016 und Versys 650 F für 2015 bis 2024. Dieser Zeitraum umfasst das überarbeitete Modell, das für 2015 eingeführt wurde, und seine späteren Aktualisierungen. Auf der Kupplungsseite ist Accossatos ESK750 für die Versys 650 von 2006 bis 2020 gelistet.
Straßenzulassung
Für diesen Bremshebel ist keine ABE für deutsche Straßen dokumentiert, er wird für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke angeboten.
