Kawasakis Rennfarben gehören zu den bekanntesten im Motorradsport, und die Ninja 650 hat sie als KRT Edition getragen, die Accossato für 2019 führt. Der sportliche Zweizylinder, seit 2017 als Nachfolger der ER-6f gebaut und unter dem Modellcode EX650 bekannt, ist ein Motorrad, das viele Besitzer gern individuell gestalten. Der Bremshebel ist ein einfacher Anfang. Accossatos EDF021, aus Aluminium gefräst für die Ninja 650 von 2017 bis 2024, hat eine einstellbare Griffweite und ein Blatt, das in einer von sieben Farben eloxiert ist, darunter Grün.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Eine Farbe lohnt sich nur, wenn sie hält, und deshalb eloxiert Accossato den EDF021, statt ihn zu lackieren. Nachdem der Hebel auf CNC-Anlagen aus Aluminium gefräst wurde, wird seine Oberfläche in eine Oxidschicht umgewandelt, die den Farbstoff aufnimmt, sodass die Farbe Teil des Metalls wird und an den Kanten nicht abblättert. Accossato hält die Nabe bei jedem Hebel schwarz, also das Teil, das Drehpunkt und Griffweiteneinsteller trägt, und färbt nur das Blatt. Diese Aufteilung erlaubt es, dass ein kräftig gefärbtes Blatt neben schwarzen Schaltereinheiten sitzt, ohne fehl am Platz zu wirken. Das Blatt selbst ist starr, ohne Klappgelenk zwischen Nabe und Spitze.
Passend zur Lackierung
Die Ninja 650 wurde über die Jahre in mehreren Farbschemata verkauft, und der Bremshebel kann jedes davon aufgreifen, wenn Sie das möchten. An einer KRT Edition oder an jeder Ninja 650 in Kawasaki-Grün nimmt ein grünes Blatt die Verkleidung auf und lässt das Cockpit fertig wirken statt nachgerüstet. An einem schwarzen Motorrad hält ein schwarzes Blatt alles dezent, während ein einzelner Akzent in Orange, Rot oder Blau einer dunklen Maschine einen Blickfang gibt. Silber und Gold sind ruhigere Möglichkeiten, die zu helleren Lackierungen passen. Wer die Länge im selben Moment festlegt, erspart sich eine Enttäuschung, denn nicht jede Farbe wird in jeder Länge gefertigt: Grün, Blau, Gold und Orange gibt es kurz, Standard und lang; Silber kurz und Standard; Schwarz und Rot nur als Standard. Für gemischtes Fahren auf der Straße ist das Standardblatt an einer Ninja 650 der natürliche Ausgangspunkt, das kurze passt zum Bremsen mit zwei Fingern bei Trackdays, und das lange gibt vier Fingern Platz.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossatos Liste nennt den EDF021 für die Ninja 650 von 2017 bis 2024, einschließlich der Special Edition von 2017 und 2018 und der KRT Edition von 2019. Er ersetzt das Originalblatt am Kawasaki-Bremszylinder. Für die Kupplungsseite ist Accossatos ESK750 für die Ninja 650 von 2017 bis 2020 gelistet, dort unter dem älteren Namen ER-6F katalogisiert.
Straßenzulassung
Besitzer einer Ninja 650 sollten beachten, dass für den EDF021 keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert ist, was seinen Verkauf auf den Rennstreckeneinsatz beschränkt.
