Der Name stammt aus Colorado, vom Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, einem Rennen eine Bergstraße hinauf, das seine Fans das Race to the Clouds nennen. Ducati gibt diesen Namen seit Jahren den sportlichen Versionen der Multistrada, und die Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak setzt diese Linie fort. Ihre Fahrer nutzen sie meist so, wie der Name es nahelegt: hart, auf kurvigen Straßen, manchmal auf der Rennstrecke. Für ihre Vorderradbremse bietet Accossato den EDF099 an, auf CNC-Maschinen aus Aluminium gefräst, in der Griffweite einstellbar und in drei Blattlängen gefertigt, für Pikes-Peak-Modelle von 2022 bis 2026.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
An jedem EDF099 treffen zwei Oberflächen aufeinander: eine schwarz eloxierte Nabe und ein Blatt, eloxiert in einer von sieben Farben, beide am selben gefrästen Aluminiumteil. Das Fräsen gibt dem Hebel scharfe, gleichmäßige Konturen, das Eloxieren eine haltbare farbige Oberfläche. Im Blatt gibt es kein Gelenk, sodass der ganze Hebel bei harten Bremsungen als ein einziges steifes Teil arbeitet und seine Spitze dort bleibt, wo Sie sie eingestellt haben.
Bergauf gegen die Uhr
Ein Bergrennen lehrt eine besondere Art zu bremsen. Bergauf hilft die Schwerkraft beim Verzögern, die Bremszonen sind kurz, und die nächste Kurve kommt schnell. Der Fahrer wechselt in Sekundenbruchteilen vom Gas auf die Bremse und zurück, und es bleibt keine Zeit, den Hebel zu suchen. Auf einer kurvigen Bergstraße verlangt eine zügig gefahrene Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak dasselbe.
Ein kurzes Blatt und eine nahe Griffweite machen diesen Wechsel schneller. Liegen zwei Finger bereits auf dem Hebel, beginnt die Bremsung in dem Moment, in dem Sie sich dafür entscheiden. Stellen Sie die Griffweite mit den Handschuhen ein, die Sie für schnelles Fahren tragen, ob Rennhandschuhe für Trackdays oder Sporthandschuhe für die Straße, und achten Sie darauf, dass der Hebel nicht auf die Finger drückt, die am Griff bleiben. Silber, Gold, Orange, Grün und Blau sind die Farben, die in der kurzen Länge gefertigt werden.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Auf der Liste von Accossato erscheint die Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak mit diesem Hebel für die Modelljahre 2022 bis 2026, und das Teil übernimmt die Aufgabe des Originalhebels am Handbremszylinder. Für diese Version ist kein Accossato-Kupplungshebel aufgeführt, die linke Seite des Cockpits bleibt also so, wie Ducati sie ausgeliefert hat.

Dieser Bremshebel wird für den Einsatz auf der Rennstrecke verkauft; eine deutsche ABE ist nicht dokumentiert.
