BMWs Kürzel HP steht für High Performance, und die HP4 war die RR für alle, die diese Leistung auf der Rennstrecke nutzen wollten. Accossato kommt aus derselben Welt. Das Unternehmen aus Turin begann 1969 als Hersteller von Wettbewerbsmotorrädern und gewann 1985 einen Enduro-Weltmeistertitel, heute fließt in seine Bremsenteile Erfahrung aus Superbike, Moto2 und Moto3 ein. Der EDF022 ist sein CNC-gefräster Bremshebel für den originalen Bremszylinder der HP4, den Accossato für Maschinen von 2012 bis 2016 aufführt.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato gießt seine Hebel nicht. Der EDF022 entsteht auf CNC-Maschinen im Werk des Unternehmens im Piemont aus massivem Aluminium und wird danach eloxiert, die Nabe schwarz, das Blatt in der bestellten Farbe. Das Fräsen aus dem Vollen sorgt für gleichmäßige Wandstärken und eine Oberfläche, die von Hebel zu Hebel gleich aussieht. Ein starrer Hebel besteht aus einem durchgehenden Blatt. Er fühlt sich in der letzten Runde eines Turns genauso an wie in der ersten, ohne Gelenk, das sich nach ein paar Trackdays lockern könnte.
Für den Trackday gebaut
Auf der Rennstrecke bremsen viele Fahrer mit zwei Fingern, und genau dort hat das kurze Blatt seinen Platz: Es endet vor Ring- und kleinem Finger, die so am Gasgriff bleiben und bei einer harten Bremsung nie gegen den Griff geklemmt werden. Mit der einstellbaren Griffweite passen Sie das Blatt an die Rennhandschuhe an, die Sie auf der Strecke tragen. Trägt Ihre HP4 noch die weiß-blau-roten Motorsport-Farben von BMW, greift das blaue oder rote Blatt sie auf. Wer das Cockpit lieber dunkel hält, nimmt die schwarze Version, die mit der Nabe verschmilzt.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt den EDF022 für die HP4 von 2012 bis 2016. Dieselbe Referenz gilt für die S1000RR und die S1000R dieser Jahre, die Hebelaufnahme am Bremszylinder war in BMWs damaliger Superbike-Familie also gleich. Blaue, grüne, orange und goldene Blätter gibt es in allen drei Längen, Silber in Standard und kurz, Schwarz und Rot nur als Standardhebel.
Straßenzulassung
Für diesen Hebel ist keine deutsche ABE dokumentiert, er wird für den Rennstreckeneinsatz verkauft.
