Bremsbeläge und Bremsscheiben verschleißen gemeinsam, und bei einer Ducati Multistrada 950 ist es sinnvoll, sie als ein System zu behandeln. Neue Beläge auf einer verschlissenen Scheibe liegen anfangs nicht plan auf dem Reibring auf, und eine neue Scheibe mit verglasten alten Belägen braucht lange zum Einbremsen. Für die Multistrada 950 von 2017 bis 2021, einschließlich der 950 S und der 950 S Touring, führt Accossato die DKS053 für das Vorderrad, wo der Großteil der Bremsarbeit geschieht: eine schwimmend gelagerte Scheibe mit schwarzem Träger, die laut Hersteller an die Stelle der Originalscheibe treten kann.

Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato fertigt die DKS053 als zweiteilige, schwimmend gelagerte Scheibe. Ihr Reibring mit 320 mm Durchmesser und 5,5 mm Dicke wird von Nieten an einem schwarzen Träger gehalten, die ihm ein wenig Spielraum zum Schwimmen geben. Der Träger sitzt mit einer Zentrierung von 72 mm an der Nabe, und Accossato gibt einen Lochkreis von 90 mm mit fünf Bohrungen von 8,5 mm an. Laut Accossato spiegelt die Scheibe Erfahrung aus Superbike, Moto2 und Moto3 wider sowie viel Arbeit an den Toleranzen zwischen den beiden Teilen.
Beläge und Scheiben als Team
Eine Scheibe verschleißt nicht plan. Die Beläge arbeiten eine flache Spur in den Ring, hinterlassen einen leichten Grat am Außenrand und manchmal ein feines Muster aus Riefen über die Reibfläche. Neue Beläge, die auf diese Oberfläche treffen, berühren sie nur an den hohen Stellen, und bis sie sich angepasst haben, fühlt sich die Bremse weich an und die Beläge erwärmen sich ungleichmäßig. Alte Beläge auf einer neuen Scheibe haben das umgekehrte Problem: Ihre Oberflächen tragen den Abdruck der alten Scheibe und eine Glasur aus langem Gebrauch.
Beides zusammen zu wechseln, gibt der Bremse der Multistrada 950 einen sauberen Neustart. Frische Beläge und ein frischer Reibring bremsen sich aneinander ein, und auf den ersten Fahrten bildet sich eine gleichmäßige Transferschicht. Die Routine ist einfach: neue Beläge in die Bremssättel, neue Scheiben ans Rad, fettfreie Oberflächen und eine Reihe mäßiger Bremsungen vor jeder harten Beanspruchung. Nach Accossatos Empfehlung steht der Scheibenwechsel bei etwa dreißig- bis vierzigtausend Kilometern an oder früher, wenn eine Scheibe verschlissen oder gerieft ist, planen Sie also einen Belagwechsel für denselben Tag ein.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossato führt die DKS053 für die Multistrada 950 von 2017 bis 2021, für die 950 S von 2019 bis 2021 und für die 950 S Touring von 2020 bis 2021. Die Multistrada 950 hat vorn zwei Scheiben; ersetzen Sie beide und ziehen Sie die Schrauben mit dem von Ducati angegebenen Anzugsmoment an. Ein wenig Bewegung zwischen Ring und Träger ist bei einer neuen schwimmend gelagerten Scheibe normal.
Straßenzulassung
Accossatos DKS053 kommt ohne dokumentierte deutsche Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis (ABE) und ohne Typgenehmigung, ihr Einsatz beschränkt sich daher auf die Rennstrecke und den Wettbewerb.
