Die Daytona 675 R verschärfte das Fahrwerk der Standardversion mit hochwertigerer Federung, gezielt für Fahrer, die sie auf der Strecke einsetzen wollten statt nur schnell vor einem Café auszusehen. In der schnellen Gruppe eines Trackdays kommen die Reifenwärmer zwischen den Einheiten dran und wenige Minuten vor Öffnung der Boxengasse wieder ab, und genau dieses kurze Fenster aus abgewickelten Kabeln und geprüftem Luftdruck ist überraschend oft der Moment, in dem ein Motorrad auf dem Montageständer angestoßen oder zu Fall gebracht wird. Fertigung und Materialgüte
Accossato baut den PF03 aus Aluminium und Kunststoff und führt beide Protektoren in Schwarz aus, einen für die linke und einen für die rechte Seite des Vorderrads. Das Set enthält nach Angabe des Herstellers die Distanzstücke, die Schrauben und jedes weitere für die Montage nötige Teil. An einer Daytona 675 R, die für die schnelle Gruppe vorbereitet wird, sollen sie als Erstes den Asphalt oder den Boxenboden berühren, falls das Motorrad fällt, was verringern kann, was Gabel und Achsbereich sonst abbekommen. Sie sind von Natur aus Verschleißteile, und ein Protektor mit ernstem Treffer sollte ersetzt werden, bevor das Motorrad wieder hinausfährt.
Die Minuten zwischen Reifenwärmern und Boxengasse
Fahrer der schnellen Gruppe lassen die Wärmer meist bis zum letzten praktischen Moment an, und die Hektik aus Kabeln abziehen, Luftdruck prüfen und Ausrüstung anlegen kann selbst einen erfahrenen Fahrer vom Motorrad selbst ablenken. Ein nicht vollständig eingerasteter Montageständer, ein unter dem Fuß liegendes Kabel oder schlicht eine Daytona 675 R, die ohne Festhalten vom Ständer rollt, können alle damit enden, dass das Motorrad in der Box auf der Seite liegt, wenige Meter von dort, wo es die Einheit beginnen sollte. Belasten Sie Ständer vollständig, verlegen Sie Wärmerkabel abseits der Laufwege, und halten Sie eine zweite Hand bereit, wenn das Motorrad heruntergelassen wird. Passiert in dieser Eile ein Stoß, sollen die Protektoren den ersten Kontakt aufnehmen; prüfen Sie sie zusammen mit der Gabel, bevor es wieder hinausgeht.
Passform und Kompatibilität
Accossatos Liste gibt den PF03 für die Daytona 675 R von 2013 bis 2016 an, und wir listen ihn entsprechend. Für das Heck desselben Motorrads sind die Protektoren PP003 erhältlich.
