Diese Mekarium-Mat-Variante geht noch eine Stufe dunkler: Anthrazit auf Schwarz, dieselbe diagonale Behandlung mit Metalleffekt, jedoch ohne jede helle Akzentfarbe. Welche Farbkombination ein Mekarium-Dekor auch traegt, darunter liegt immer dieselbe OXO-Schale mit demselben Kinngelenk. Die Grafik entscheidet, was man aus drei Metern Entfernung sieht — nicht, was passiert, wenn man die beiden Rastpunkte loest und den Buegel ueber den Scheitel dreht.
Anthrazit, Schwarz, und warum beides in der Farbliste steht
Die anthrazitfarbenen Felder sind auf den Herstellerfotos als eigenstaendige dunkelgraue Flaechen erkennbar und nicht als Lichteffekt auf schwarzem Lack. Nah genug am Schwarz, dass Grau neben Schwarz steht und nicht an dessen Stelle — beide Toene sind belegt. Die Chromdiagonale behaelt auch auf diesem dunkleren Grund ihren gebuersteten Silberschimmer; sie ist die eine Konstante ueber alle vier Mekarium-Ausfuehrungen hinweg.
Die leiseste Fassung einer lauten Grafik
Wer die Bildsprache der Mekarium-Familie mag, aber keine Signalfarbe auf dem Kopf tragen will, findet hier die zurueckhaltendste Loesung. Die Struktur bleibt lesbar, der Kontrast bleibt dezent, und eine matte Flaeche wirft weniger Licht zurueck als die glaenzenden Geschwister. Eingeordnet ist das Dekor dennoch unter Sport und Street, nicht unter Touring: die grafische Behandlung bleibt strassenorientiert und sportlich, auch ohne kraeftige Farbe.
Das Gelenk
Der Kinnbereich gehoert zur Schale und ist beweglich gelagert. An zwei Punkten entriegelt, wandert er nach oben und hinten, bis er flach auf dem Oberteil einrastet. Der Hersteller beschreibt fuer den offenen Zustand eine Drehung um 180 Grad und nennt die Entriegelung 2 Digit Unlock. Eine Motorradredaktion konnte den Vorgang nach 750 Testmeilen einhaendig ausfuehren und beschreibt ihn als weicher als bei frueheren Shark-Klapphelmen; eine zweite Redaktion haelt den Mechanismus fuer fest und robust, das Loesen mit dicken Winterhandschuhen aber fuer etwas fummelig.
Woran man die Norm erkennt
Im Nackenband steht 22.06. Diese Fassung der ECE-Regelung gilt seit Januar 2024 fuer neue Typgenehmigungen in der EU und verlangt achtzehn gepruefte Aufschlagstellen statt fuenf, Anprallpruefungen bei mehreren Geschwindigkeiten, einen zusaetzlichen Schraegaufprall gegen eine abrasive Platte und eine Bewertung der dabei entstehenden Drehbelastung. Geprueft wird am komplett ausgeruesteten Helm. Fuer eine Bauart mit beweglichem Kinnbereich sind zusaetzlich die Buchstaben P und J von Bedeutung; Shark gibt fuer den OXO beide an. Ein FIM-Zusatz erscheint auf keiner Zeile dieses Modells in der Herstellerpreisliste.
Zwei Formen, sechs Groessen
Shark spritzt den OXO in zwei Schalengroessen. Das hat einen direkten Effekt auf das Zubehoer: Die Scheibenfamilie VZ390 existiert in jeder Toenung doppelt, einmal klein und einmal gross, und die Preisliste fuehrt entsprechend zwei Artikelnummern je Farbton. Auf einer anderen Seite des Rangebooks taucht dieselbe Teilung beim Pinlock-Einsatz erneut auf, mit zwei eigenen Nummern. Wer nachbestellt, braucht also zwei Angaben: Farbe und Schalengroesse.
Drei Waagen, drei Ergebnisse
Der Hersteller gibt rund 1.660 Gramm fuer die kleinere Schale an. SHARP notierte an einem selbst gekauften Exemplar etwa 1,7 Kilogramm, eine Motorradredaktion an ihrem Testgeraet 1.880 Gramm. Diese Beschreibung nennt bewusst alle drei Werte statt nur des niedrigsten. Unterschiedliche Schalen und moeglicherweise unterschiedliche Ausstattung erklaeren die Streuung; der Abstand von ueber zweihundert Gramm bleibt trotzdem der Wert, den der Nacken nach mehreren Stunden bemerkt.
Luftwege und Lautstaerke
Zwei Lufteintritte sind bestaetigt, am Kinn und an der Stirn, beide nur offen oder geschlossen. Die Abfuhr der warmen Luft dokumentiert der Hersteller nicht, weshalb hier keine Zahl steht. Beim Geraeusch widersprechen sich zwei Tests leicht: keine Beanstandung im Stadtverkehr mit geoeffnetem Kinnteil auf der einen Seite, die Erwartung eines ruhigen Helms mit ausdruecklichem Hinweis auf zu laute Vorgaengergenerationen auf der anderen. Keiner nennt eine Dezibelzahl.
Die Scheibe
Geliefert wird eine klare Scheibe mit Freigabe fuer alle Nutzer, dazu ein werkseitig eingesetzter Pinlock 70 mit nachstellbarer Spannung, eine kratzfeste Behandlung, ein mittiger Verschluss und ein Wechsel ohne Werkzeug. Im Zubehoer folgen die TE50-Leichttoenung mit Tagfahrtfreigabe und fuenf Iridium-Farben mit der Einschraenkung auf die Rennstrecke. Eine optische Klasse veroeffentlicht Shark fuer die VZ390-Familie nicht, und dieser Text uebernimmt keine von der benachbarten Visierseite eines anderen Modells.
Was noch im Helm steckt
Ausfahrbare Sonnenblende, Aufnahmen fuer Sharktooth- oder SENA-Einheiten, Brillennut, entnehmbares Futter mit entnehmbaren Wangenpolstern, mehrdichtes EPS, mikrometrischer Ratschenverschluss. SHARP fuehrt Brillenfreundlichkeit, entnehmbare Polster und Mehrpunktbelueftung in einer eigenen Liste. Zur Waschbarkeit und zu Polsterstaerken liegt nichts vor.

Offene Punkte, benannt statt verschwiegen
Kein MIPS, kein Notfallauszug der Wangenpolster, keine Abreissfolien-Aufnahmen, keine Photochrom-Freigabe — Sharks IRID-Liste kennt nur AERON GP, AERON und RACE R PRO. Kein DOT, kein Snell, keine Angabe zur Abluft, kein veroeffentlichter Geraeuschwert. Die vier Sterne von SHARP stammen aus einem Test vom Mai 2025 und gelten diesem Pruefexemplar. Die Windkanalaussage im Rangebook ist eine Herstellerformulierung ohne veroeffentlichte Messung. Fuenf Jahre Garantie und Fertigung in Portugal sind dagegen belegt.
Was SHARP zu diesem Modell festgehalten hat
Der Eintrag bei der britischen Pruefstelle laeuft unter dem Namen Shark Oxo, mit vier von fuenf Sternen und dem Pruefdatum Mai 2025. Als Bauart ist System vermerkt, also Klapphelm, als Norm UN ECE REG 22.06, als Rueckhaltesystem ein Schnellverschluss und als Werkstoff Thermoplast — Shark selbst praezisiert das Material auf der Produktseite als Polycarbonat der Lexan-Sorte. In der Merkmalsliste stehen beschlaghemmende Scheibe, kratzfeste Scheibe, Brillenfreundlichkeit, mehrere Schalen, Mehrpunktbelueftung, Pinlock-Vorbereitung, entnehmbare Wangenpolster und entnehmbares Futter. Getestet wurden die Groessen XS bis XL, unser Sortiment reicht bis XXL: SHARP kauft die Pruefmuster im britischen Handel und listet nur, was dort zum Testzeitpunkt verfuegbar war. Ein Widerspruch entsteht daraus nicht.
Aerodynamik: Herstelleraussage, nicht Messwert
Das Rangebook 2027 beschreibt den OXO als im Windkanal entwickelt und schreibt ihm Stabilitaet sowie eine optimierte Umstroemung in jeder Kopfhaltung zu. Diese Formulierung stammt vom Hersteller. Weder ein Widerstandsbeiwert noch ein einsehbarer Pruefbericht noch eine unabhaengige Gegenmessung sind veroeffentlicht. Der Satz steht hier deshalb als das, was er ist, und wird nicht zu einem aerodynamischen Ergebnis erhoben.
