Konstruktion und Materialien
Knox hat die Materialien für den MK5 nach einem einzigen Prinzip ausgewählt: Jede Lage muss ihren Platz verdienen. Die 0,8 mm dicke Handfläche aus Känguruleder zählt zu den dünnsten strukturell verlässlichen Ledern überhaupt und verschafft dem Fahrer eine nahezu direkte Verbindung zum Lenker. Fassgefärbtes Rindsleder bedeckt die Außenflächen, erhöht die Haltbarkeit und verleiht dem Handschuh sein markantes sechseckiges Panel-Design — eine Geometrie, die ebenso für die Flexeigenschaften wie für die Optik gewählt wurde. Das Ergebnis ist ein Handschuh, der bei anhaltendem Kontakt mit dem Straßenbelag abriebfest bleibt und dabei über einen ganzen Fahrtag hinweg geschmeidig und reaktionsschnell bleibt.
