Was ein offener Helm leistet — und was nicht
🟢 Wenn Sie überwiegend Stadt fahren, den Helm mehrmals täglich auf- und absetzen und selten über 60 km/h kommen, ist ein Demi-Jet die praktischere Bauart. 🔵 Wenn Sie Landstraße und Autobahn fahren, ist er die falsche.
MT nennt als Einsatzzweck ausdrücklich Stadt und Alltag.
Zum matten Dunkelblau
Dunkelblau ist der Ton, mit dem man Farbe bekommt, ohne aufzufallen — er liegt in der Helligkeit nahe bei Schwarz, wird aber als Farbe gelesen und nicht als Nichtfarbe. Matt ausgeführt verstärkt sich der Effekt, weil die gestreute Reflexion den Ton gleichmäßiger zeigt als ein Glanzlack mit seinen Spitzlichtern. Auf einem Roller in gedeckten Farben oder einer klassischen Maschine ist das die stimmigste der zehn Ausführungen. 🔵 Genau darin liegt aber auch die Einschränkung: Zur Sichtbarkeit trägt Dunkelblau kaum mehr bei als Schwarz. Dazu kommt, dass Blautöne beim Übergang zum Nachtsehen schneller an wahrgenommener Helligkeit verlieren als warme Farben — der Helm ist abends dunkler, als er tagsüber wirkt. Bei einem offenen Helm ist das ein Argument für Reflexmaterial an Jacke und Handschuhen. 🔵 Zur Pflege: einweichen, sanft abnehmen, nicht polieren.
HIRP, ECE 22.06 und DOT
🟢 Dass MT die Zulassung mit montiertem Zubehör hervorhebt, hat einen sachlichen Kern: Bei manchen Helmen gilt die Prüfung nur in der Grundkonfiguration, und Anbauteile verändern das Verhalten. Hier war alles montiert — auch das Interkom.
🔵 Belegt hat das MT selbst, nicht ein unabhängiger Prüfer.
MT-ESP — eine vollflächige Sonnenblende auf einem Jet
🔵 Die Blende ist getönt und für Tageslicht gedacht; bei Dämmerung gehört sie hoch. 🟢 Ihr Vorteil gegenüber einem Wechselvisier ist die Geschwindigkeit — ein Handgriff statt eines Wechsels am Straßenrand.
Sie ist vollflächig ausgeführt und als Ersatzteil erhältlich.
Das MT-V-37-Visier und der patentierte MT-QVSS
🔵 Zur Pflege: Das Visier nie trocken abwischen. Straßenstaub ist mineralisch und zieht dauerhafte Kratzer in die Beschichtung — einweichen, abspülen, dann erst abnehmen.
🟢 Das MT-V-37 ist einzeln als Ersatzteil erhältlich.
Aktive Belüftung und der abnehmbare Heckdeflektor
🟢 Der Heckdeflektor lässt sich ohne Werkzeug abnehmen — das ist Voraussetzung dafür, dass man ihn tatsächlich saisonal wechselt. Ein Bauteil, für das man einen Schraubendreher bräuchte, bliebe dauerhaft montiert.
Ersatz gibt es einzeln, ebenso für die farblich abgestimmten Lüftungsteile.
Der MT-Micrometric+-Verschluss
🟢 Ein Verschluss, der sich mit einer Hand öffnen lässt, klingt nach Kleinigkeit und ist im Winter keine: Mit dicken Handschuhen scheitert man an jedem System, das feine Fingerarbeit verlangt.
Der MT-Micrometric+ ist entsprechend ausgelegt.
Innenfutter, Passform und Interkom-Vorbereitung
🟢 Ein offener Helm lässt sich auch mit Brille bequem tragen, weil man sie aufsetzt, nachdem der Helm sitzt — der Bügel muss sich nicht am Wangenpolster vorbeischieben. Das ist einer der praktischen Vorteile der Bauart.
Das Futter ist vollständig herausnehmbar und waschbar.
🟢 Dass MT die Zulassung mit montiertem Interkom angibt, ist der ungewöhnlichere Teil dieser Ausstattung: Bei vielen Helmen ist unklar, ob ein Anbauteil die Prüfbedingungen verändert.
🔵 Das MT-Rider Sync selbst ist ein separater Kauf.
Die Gewichtsangabe — und die ehrliche Liste
🟢 Was der Cosmo SV im Gegenzug bietet: eine vollflächige Sonnenblende, eine aktive Belüftung mit abnehmbarem Heckdeflektor, sieben Größen bis 3XL und zwei Zulassungen.
🔵 Beim Gewicht bleibt es bei MTs Angabe von 1,5 kg, weil die niedrigeren Händlerwerte nicht belegbar sind.
Wo er im MT-Programm steht
🟢 Sieben Größen von XS bis 3XL sind bei einem Demi-Jet die Ausnahme. Für sehr große Köpfe ist die Auswahl an zugelassenen offenen Helmen sonst deutlich schmaler.
🔵 Eine unabhängige Sicherheitsbewertung existiert für dieses Modell nicht.
Wenn etwas verschleißt
🟢 Der Heckdeflektor ist ein Teil, das man saisonal bewegt — und Teile, die man bewegt, gehen irgendwann kaputt. Dass er einzeln erhältlich ist, gehört deshalb zur Konstruktion dazu.
🔵 Der Helm selbst gehört nach rund fünf Jahren ersetzt.
