The same racing code is catalogued for a 125 and for a 200, with a pair of 155s in between, because all six machines are built around one airbox and Sprint Filter numbers elements after housings. A recommendation cannot be equally true of the smallest and the largest machine on a list like that, which is a useful clue about what the word Racing is doing on the label. It names a material. It is not an endorsement of a use for this particular motorcycle.

What a part number can and cannot tell you
The leading characters identify the case; the suffix identifies what is folded into it. Everything the catalogue knows about the ZT 125 in this context is the shape of that case and the years it was used. It knows nothing about the roads the bike sees, the way it is ridden, or whether the airbox is ever opened between services — and those are precisely the things that decide whether a racing weave is sensible. The entry is an offer of a material grade, and the judgement is left where only an owner can make it.
Making that judgement on a 125
Two questions settle it. Is the machine regularly asked for everything it has, for long enough that a supply figure matters? And is the use it sees demanding enough for the highest-flowing medium in the range to be worth its price? On a road-registered A1 machine the first is limited by type approval rather than by the intake, and no drop-in element makes a production motorcycle noticeably faster in any event. Where the honest answer to either question is no, the standard code covers the same airbox, the same fitting, and the same washable, oil-free construction.
Care and cleaning
Take the element out, apply compressed air to its clean face and push the dust back along the path it took inward; that is the ordinary service. A greasy film instead needs lukewarm water and a mild detergent, rinsed until the run-off is clean. Let it dry fully in open air at room temperature, keep every kind of heat well away from it, and refit the SM276S F1-85 dry and bare. The maintenance sheet is in the Downloads tab of this page.
