DescriptionThe whole story▼
A titanium exhaust valve, in a titanium header. Spark's Evo 2025 headers for the 2024-2026 CBR 1000 RR-R can be had with a valve made entirely of titanium — the configuration for riders who want the noise level under control without giving up flow when it is open.
Key Features
- Full titanium header with exhaust valve for the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R, 2024 to 2026.
- Valve entirely made of titanium.
- 1-2 and 3-4 crossovers, CNC-machined titanium bushings.
- Headers dimensioned specifically for the 2025 engine.
- Supplied without a link pipe or silencer.
- Part of the original fairing must be removed to fit it.
What an Exhaust Valve Does
A valve in the exhaust is a variable restriction. Closed, it narrows the path and drops the noise level and the low-rpm gas velocity; open, it gets out of the way entirely.
That is a different tool from a pre-silencer or a longer case, both of which are fixed. A valve lets one exhaust be two: quiet enough for a sound check or a warm-up lap, and unobstructed everywhere else. Spark offers both routes on this header platform — the valve here, the pre-silencer in the GHO8849T system — and states that either brings the level into line with the new regulations for European circuits.
Titanium, Including the Moving Part
Spark specifies the valve as entirely titanium, which is worth noting because a valve is the one component in an exhaust with a moving part in the gas stream.
Steel butterflies in exhausts are common and they survive, but titanium expands less with heat and does not scale the way steel does, which matters for something that has to keep rotating in its bore after a thousand heat cycles. It is a more expensive way to build the part and the reason this header costs considerably more than the plain one.
The Header Alone
This is the front section only — no link pipe, no silencer. Spark sells the Evo 2025 range that way so a rider can pick the header configuration and the back half independently.
Behind it go the titanium link pipe SGHO8847*01 or the pre-silenced SGHO8849*01, and then one of the silencer groups. The carbon heat shield that protects the boot from the link pipe comes with the complete systems.
Fitment & Compatibility
Honda CBR 1000 RR-R, 2024 through 2026. The header without the valve is GHO8847; with the link pipe included it is GHO8847R. The complete system with a pre-silencer instead of a valve is GHO8849T.
Road Approval
None. A valve changes the noise level, not the certification — the header carries no EC certificate and no catalytic converter. Closed circuits only.
