DescriptionThe whole story▼
Born in Italy and shaped by MotoGP heritage, the Spark Exhaust MotoGP full system for the Kawasaki Ninja 400 (2018-2023) is a statement of craft as much as engineering. The titanium silencer and titanium end cap carry the unmistakable aesthetic of grand-prix machinery, while the stainless steel header provides the structural rigidity to back it up — all wrapped in the precision finish that has made Spark one of Italy's most respected exhaust makers.
Key Features
- Remarkable 4.5 kg weight saving over the stock system — from 6.6 kg down to just 2.1 kg — for sharper chassis dynamics and improved throttle response
- Titanium silencer and titanium end cap: the same material choice seen at the highest level of racing, prized for its strength-to-weight ratio and heat resistance
- Stainless steel header for long-term durability and resistance to high exhaust temperatures
- Removable dB killer allows you to dial the sound level to suit road use or open track days — measured at 104 dB at 5,500 rpm without the dB killer
- Complete installation kit included: all exhaust springs and mounting hardware supplied, making fitment straightforward
- Made in Italy — hand-finished to the exacting tolerances Spark's race programme demands
Design, Finish and Heritage
The GKA8826T is not simply a lighter alternative to the stock exhaust — it is a visual and acoustic transformation of the Ninja 400. The raw titanium canister develops a characteristic heat-tinted patina over time, an organic finish that no paint or coating can replicate. The titanium end cap reinforces that track-bred identity, and the stainless steel header is finished to a standard that holds up in all weathers and all conditions. Spark's MotoGP line draws directly on the company's involvement at circuit level, and the design language reflects that lineage without compromise.
Performance and Sound
The full-system architecture — replacing both the header and silencer — is where the most meaningful gains are found. Reducing total exhaust mass by 4.5 kg lowers the centre of gravity and removes unsprung and semi-sprung weight, both of which contribute to more responsive handling and faster direction changes. Throttle pick-up sharpens noticeably once the system is properly mapped. The MotoGP silencer produces an aggressive, purposeful note that is as satisfying on a road ride as it is on a track day. To extract the full performance potential, Spark recommends the use of a dedicated race map or a custom dyno tune.
