DescriptionThe whole story▼
The silencer on its own, for a motorcycle that already has the Spark pipe under it. Spark catalogues it as a spare part, and the holders and small parts come in the box.
Key Features
- Force silencer in titanium, low mounting.
- For the Ducati Hypermotard 821 and Hyperstrada, 2013 to 2015.
- Mounts to the Spark GDU1804R or GDU1807R pipes.
- Holders and small parts included.
- Approved.
- The titanium version; the carbon version is GDU1804SCOM.
It Needs a Spark Pipe
This is the sentence that decides whether the article is right. The silencer will not go onto the standard exhaust of an 821 — it mounts to Spark's own pipe, either GDU1804R or GDU1807R.
If the motorcycle is standard, the article to order is the complete kit: GDU1804TOM in titanium or GDU1804COM in carbon. Those bring the pipe, the catalysts in the Y section and the mounting with them.
What Comes in the Box
Spark includes the holders and the small parts. That is worth stating because a bare silencer without its brackets is a common disappointment when buying exhaust components separately.
What is not included is the pipe, the Y section or any catalyst. Those live in the kit.
Titanium, and What It Costs
Cheaper than the carbon-cased GDU1804SCOM. The titanium case is the cheaper of the two here, which is the opposite of what most people expect and the same pattern Spark uses across this bike's range.
The silencer body will change colour at the outlet with heat. On a 2013 machine that is usually read as patina rather than wear.
Why a Silencer Is a Spare Part
Exhausts get damaged from one end. A low-mounted silencer beside the rear wheel is the part that meets a kerb, a paddock stand or a fallen bike, and when it does the pipe ahead of it is usually fine.
Spark giving it a number is what keeps that a silencer repair rather than a reason to buy the kit twice.
Fitment & Compatibility

Road Approval
Approved. Spark lists this silencer as approved when used in the configuration it is built for.
