DescriptionThe whole story▼
Triumph picked this silencer for a special edition it showed at EICMA. On an ordinary Speed 400 it takes 2,1 kg off the back of the motorcycle and keeps the approval.
Key Features
- Euro 5 approved slip-on for the Triumph Speed 400, 2024 onwards.
- Evo5 silencer in AISI 304 stainless steel.
- 1,4 kg against 3,5 kg standard — Spark states a 60 per cent reduction.
- Deeper, sportier sound within the phonometric limits of the Euro 5 regulation.
- Chosen by Triumph for the Noisystyle special edition unveiled at EICMA.
- Sound sample published by Spark.
Sixty Per Cent
3,5 kg standard, 1,4 kg fitted. On a 398 cc roadster that weighs around 176 kg, taking 2,1 kg off the tail is a larger proportional change than most litre-bike owners will ever see from an exhaust.
Spark connects it directly to handling: the weight reduction enhances manoeuvrability. On a light single that is not marketing — it is where the bike's character comes from.
Triumph Chose It Themselves
Spark points out that this silencer was selected for the Noisystyle special edition motorcycle, officially unveiled by Triumph and shown at EICMA. A manufacturer putting an aftermarket exhaust on its own show bike is a stronger endorsement than any catalogue claim.
Louder Without Breaking the Rule
The sound is deeper and sportier, and Spark is careful to add that it stays inside the phonometric limits set by the Euro 5 regulation. Both halves of that sentence matter on a small roadster that is often a rider's first registered motorcycle.
Spark publishes a sound sample for this code, so the note can be heard before ordering.
Stainless, Not Titanium
AISI 304 stainless steel. On a silencer for a 398 cc bike, stainless is the honest material: it takes winter salt and stone chips better than thin titanium, and it keeps the price where it belongs relative to the motorcycle.
The Black Version
The same silencer under a matt black ceramic treatment is GTR0601BOM — it costs more, for the finish alone.
What Is Replaced
The silencer only. Manifold and catalytic converter stay as Triumph built them, which is the basis of the approval and why fitting takes well under an hour.
Which Speed 400
Spark's article page lists the Triumph Speed 400 from 2024, and the 2026 price list carries the number forward. The Scrambler 400 X shares much of the platform but not the silencer routing — send us the exact model and we will confirm before anything ships.
Made in Italy
Spark builds in Mantova, and mentions the fact on this product more than on most. On a silencer in this class it is a reasonable thing to point out: the case, the welding and the finishing all happen in one place.
Fitment & Compatibility
Triumph Speed 400, 2024 onwards. The matt black ceramic version is GTR0601BOM.
Road Approval
EC type-approved to Euro 5. Spark supplies the homologation certificate with the part.
