DescriptionThe whole story▼
When lap times are on the line, drivetrain precision is non-negotiable. The Sitta D001 front sprocket is CNC-machined from high-tensile chromium-molybdenum steel and engineered specifically for the Ducati Panigale V4, V4S and V4R (model years 2025-2026), delivering the power transfer accuracy and wear resistance that serious track riding demands.
Key Features
- High-tensile chromium-molybdenum steel construction for exceptional strength and long service life under race and road loads
- CNC-machined to exacting tolerances, ensuring a precise fit, minimal vibration and optimal power transfer
- Available in 14, 15, 16 and 17-tooth configurations to suit a wide range of gearing strategies
- Compatible with both 520 and 525 pitch chains, giving you full flexibility when converting to a lightweight 520 kit or retaining the standard 525 setup
- Low-wear profile designed for sustained high-load use at the track and on the road
Gearing Strategy — Choosing the Right Tooth Count
The number of teeth on your front sprocket has a direct effect on how the Panigale V4 delivers its power. Understanding the trade-off lets you tailor the drivetrain precisely to each circuit layout or riding style.
A smaller sprocket (14-15 teeth) shortens overall gearing, sharpening acceleration out of slow to medium-speed corners and making the bike feel more aggressive and responsive — ideal for tight, technical circuits where exit speed out of hairpins is the priority.
A larger sprocket (16-17 teeth) lengthens overall gearing, raising top speed and reducing engine revs at cruising pace. This suits fast, flowing tracks with long straights, or spirited road riding where a more relaxed power delivery is preferable.
With seven size and pitch combinations available under the D001 part number, you can dial in exactly the gearing character the Panigale V4 platform rewards most.
Build Quality
Sitta manufactures the D001 from chromium-molybdenum steel — a material chosen for its exceptional hardness, toughness and resistance to deformation under sustained high-torque loading. Every sprocket is CNC-machined rather than stamped, so tooth geometry is consistent from unit to unit and seat fit is repeatable. The result is a component that installs cleanly, runs quietly and resists wear across a full season of hard use.
