DescriptionThe whole story▼
The top of the forefoot is where gear levers rub and where a footpeg or rock can strike hard. Sidi protects that zone with a metatarsus insert, position 347 in the chart, sold as part 52903 in Black or Grey.
Key Features
- Sidi metatarsus insert, part 52903
- Black or Grey
- Made of hard plastic
- Position no. 347
Protection over the forefoot
The metatarsal bones on top of the foot are thin and close to the surface. A rigid insert over them spreads impacts and keeps shifting wear off the upper of the boot. Once the insert is cracked or worn through, the boot loses that guard where it is used most.
Checking compatibility
Sidi does not name a boot model in the article name, so the parts chart for your boot decides. If position 347 is listed for your model, this is the matching insert. The Sidi list itself spells the part 'Metatarus insert'; we use the correct term.
What You Should Know
The colour field of the list says Black for both versions, while the names clearly give Black and Grey; we follow the names. Fit the insert as shown in the Sidi spare-parts chart or let a Sidi dealer replace it.
