DescriptionThe whole story▼
The side plates cover the visor pivots on either side of the OXO and are the first thing to scrape when the helmet tips over on a bench. FX8740P replaces them. Shark lists LATERAL PLATES in four versions at 17.45 EUR: black by name, and three more with the codes W05, A05 and S05.
Key Features
- Genuine Shark part FX8740P
- Visor side plates for the OXO
- Black, or codes W05, A05, S05
- Universal size
- Listed weight 12 g
Fitting
Open the visor, release the old plate on one side and look at how its tabs locate before removing the other. The new plate goes on in the same orientation; press it on until it sits flush with the shell. Then check that the visor still moves freely through its whole range.
Fitment
According to Shark's price list, where FX8740P appears under OXO in the model column, the plates are made for that helmet. The matt versions are a separate number, FX8741P, with the codes G02, B16 and KMA at the same price. Shark names no colours for W05, A05 or S05; the code on your old plate is what to order by.
