DescriptionThe whole story▼
Rain running in at the top of the visor on the motorway, or a whistle that was not there last year: both often trace back to the seal around the eye port. For the OXO with the small shell, Shark lists it as VISOR RUBBER SEAL SMALL SHELL, part JO8720P, black, 20.33 EUR.
Key Features
- Genuine Shark part JO8720P
- Visor seal for the OXO
- Small shell version
- Black, universal size
- Listed weight 11 g
Why it is a wear part
The visor presses into this seal every time it closes, and the rubber is exposed to sun, rain and cleaning products. Over time it hardens, flattens and loses its grip on the visor. Shark's price list files JO8720P under OXO, and the designation limits it to the small shell.
Fitting
Take the visor off, then pull the old seal out of its channel from one end. Clean the channel, then press the new seal in starting at the top centre and working towards both sides, without stretching it. Refit the visor and close it: it should touch the seal all the way round.
