When to replace it
Look through the visor at night. If oncoming headlights smear into streaks, if the anti-scratch layer has worn through where you wipe it, or if the visor no longer closes evenly because a mount is cracked, it is time for a new one. A visor that only looks tired in daylight is usually much worse after dark.
