About this tint
From outside the screen shows a red reflection; from inside you look through a darkened, mirrored layer. Like any iridium coating it sends part of the light back before it reaches your eyes, which takes the sting out of low afternoon sun on a back straight or the glitter of a pit lane drying after a shower. Because the RS Jet leaves the lower face open, a long screen like this one is what shades the eyes.
Red is picked for looks. Shark documents no difference in darkness or contrast between its red, gold, blue, silver and rainbow mirrors, so choose by helmet paint and bike rather than by an optical advantage nobody has measured for you.
Road or track
In the Range Book 2027, page 39, Shark marks the Iridium Red visor for the RS Jet as racing use only. We sell it as a track item accordingly, and Shark does not approve it for road riding. For the street, the clear VZ36015P is rated for all users, and the light tinted TE50 under that same number for daytime use.
A sensible routine on track days: the red visor for the sessions, the clear one fitted before you leave the paddock with the sun going down.
Keeping it serviceable
Treat the red coating as the softer surface. Between sessions lay a damp cloth over insect splatter for a minute instead of scrubbing, then wipe in one direction. No solvents, no window spray. Keep the visor in a soft bag in the van so it does not rub against tools; a scuffed spot in a mirror turns into a bright patch when the sun is low.
How it goes on
Swapping works through the side release on each flank of the visor mount. Take the fitted screen off, present the red one to the four anchoring points and press until both sides lock. Then open and close it a few times. A Pinlock from your previous RS Jet screen can move across; if you need a new one, its number is VZ36005P.
Ordering by part number
VZ36030P on its own does not tell us which colour you want; the suffix does. Red is VZ36030PREDTU, EAN 3664836766812, weight 186 g as shipped. Gold, blue and silver sit at the same price, only rainbow costs more.
What this part fits
Shark RS Jet. Shark includes VZ36030P in its own collection of visors compatible with the RS Jet on shark-helmets.com, and that listing is the source of this fitment. We add no other helmet to it.
