DescriptionThe whole story▼
Some riders choose a visor the way they choose a decal: to finish the helmet. Iridium Rainbow is the loudest option Shark offers on VZ39030P, a multicoloured mirror that turns a plain OXO into something you spot from the other end of the grid. You are buying only this tint here, SKU VZ39030PRNWTU, sized for the small OXO shell.
Key Features
- Iridium Rainbow mirror, named as such in Shark's Range Book 2027
- For the small OXO shell; the large-shell version is VZ39031P
- Racing use only according to Shark
- Integrated Max Vision Pinlock mount with tension adjustment
- Tool-free removal and one central lock
- Anti-scratch treated, weighs 186 g
About this tint
Rainbow is a matter of style first. Where silver or blue keep to one hue, this finish mixes several, which suits graphic-heavy OXO designs, bright team colours or a bike with more than one accent colour. If your helmet is already busy, hold the photo next to it before you decide; a quieter mirror may sit better.
Like every Iridium coating, it reflects a portion of the light and makes your eyes hard to read from outside. Shark states no separate light figures for the rainbow finish compared with the other four mirrors of this number, so treat it as a styling choice rather than a stronger or weaker tint.
Road or track
Shark's Range Book 2027 (page 38) sums up the Iridium visors of the OXO in three words: racing use only. That applies to rainbow just as it does to silver, red, gold and blue. Shark does not approve these mirrors for the road, so the rainbow visor belongs on the helmet for timed sessions and comes off before you leave the circuit. For the trip there and back, VZ39015P in TE50 light tint (Shark: approved day use only) or in clear is the part to carry.
Fitting
No screwdriver, no spare screws: Shark lists quick removal without tools and a central locking point for this visor family. Put the rainbow visor on after scrutineering and before the first session, and it stays until the chequered flag.
Which shell do I have
Two OXO shell sizes, two visor outlines. VZ39030P is the small one. Should your helmet use the large shell, the matching rainbow mirror is VZ39031P, SKU VZ39031PRNWTU; it looks the same but will not seat on the small shell. Check the number on your current visor, or ask us with your helmet size before ordering.
Ordering by part number
Order under VZ39030P with the tint code RNW, which gives the SKU VZ39030PRNWTU and the EAN 3664836892580. Price 76.50 euros, the same as the other four mirrors of this number (recommended retail 85 euros). Customs number 3926906000. If you want a Pinlock insert for the built-in Max Vision housing, Shark sells it separately as VZ39005P.
Care
A multicoloured mirror shows every wipe mark. Rinse off grit before you touch the surface, let dead insects soak under a wet microfibre cloth for a few minutes, then lift them off. Solvent-based cleaners and ordinary window spray stay in the cupboard, and so does the sleeve of your riding jacket.
