About this tint
Blue is the cool counterpart to gold and red. The mirror reflects part of the light, hides the eyes behind a blue sheen and cuts glare from bright tarmac at midday. Shark does not rate blue as darker or lighter than the other Iridium colours of this number; the difference you will notice is how it looks on the helmet.
It matches blue bikes, blue and white team liveries and OXO designs with cold tones. On a helmet already covered in warm colours, silver usually looks tidier.
Road or track
All five Iridium visors of the OXO carry the same label in Shark's Range Book 2027 on page 38: racing use only. The blue one is no exception, and Shark does not release it for the road. Bring an approved visor for the ride there and back. Under VZ39015P Shark offers a clear version, approved for all users, and a TE50 light tint approved for daytime use.
Fitting
The visor releases by hand. Shark lists quick removal without tools and central locking for the whole OXO visor family, so changing to the blue mirror at the circuit takes no more than a minute and needs nothing from your toolbox.
Which shell do I have
Every OXO visor exists twice, once per shell size. VZ39030P belongs to the small shell. If your helmet has the large shell, the blue mirror you need is VZ39031P with the SKU VZ39031PBLUTU; same tint, different cut, and the two are not interchangeable. The number on your present visor settles it.
Ordering by part number
Search or order by VZ39030P and pick Blue, or use the full SKU VZ39030PBLUTU directly. Price 76.50 euros, recommended retail price 85 euros. A Pinlock insert is not included under this number; Shark sells it separately as VZ39005P, and it sits in the housing already built into the visor.
Care
Treat the blue coating as the delicate part. Dust first, then water: rinse grit away before wiping, soak insect marks with a wet cloth, and dry with clean microfibre. Keep solvents, glass cleaner and rough workshop rags away from it.
