DescriptionThe whole story▼
Born from a direct collaboration with Aprilia Racing and carrying the aesthetic language of World Superbike, the SC-Project SC1-R slip-on silencer in its 350mm form is one of the most purposefully designed exhausts available for the RSV4 1100 Factory. Whether finished in hand-laid carbon fibre or raw titanium, it replaces the heavy stock unit with something that belongs on a Superpole grid — and the numbers prove it.
Key Features
- Race-proven design co-developed with Aprilia Racing for SBK and STK configurations, delivering genuine racing DNA rather than cosmetic upgrades
- Massive weight saving of 2.4 kg over the stock silencer (stock 5.6 kg versus SC1-R 3.2 kg), transforming the handling balance of the RSV4
- Power gains of up to +7.0 hp at 8,000 rpm and up to +6.5 Nm at 8,000 rpm (without dB-killer), across the full rev range
- Exhaust valve removed for unrestricted airflow and maximum mid-to-top-end response
- Removable dB-killer included: 105 dB at 6,500 rpm with dB-killer, 110 dB at 6,500 rpm without
- Choice of carbon fibre or titanium canister finish — both with carbon fibre end cap and full-titanium link pipe
Design, Finish and Heritage
The SC1-R is SC-Project's most recognised silencer shape — a form refined through years of WorldSBK and CIV competition. The 350mm canister length keeps mass centralised and low, while the carbon fibre end cap provides a visual signature immediately recognisable from the pit lane. In carbon variant (A27A-T93C), the weave pattern of the canister itself adds a further layer of craftsmanship that sets this silencer apart from any generic aftermarket option. The titanium variant (A27A-T93T) carries the subtle blue-gold heat tint that only genuine titanium develops, making each silencer unique to the heat cycles it has seen. Both finishes are united by the full-titanium link pipe, which resists heat fatigue and maintains a consistent connection between the stock headers and the SC1-R canister.
Performance and Engineering
The SC1-R was not adapted from a universal design — it was conceived alongside Aprilia Racing engineers specifically for the RSV4 1100 Factory platform. Removing the OEM exhaust valve is central to the performance gain: the valve, present on the stock system to manage low-speed emissions behaviour, creates a restriction that the SC1-R eliminates entirely. The result is a measurable improvement in power delivery at every point in the rev range, not just at the top end. A carbon fibre heat shield is included to protect surrounding bodywork and electronics from radiated heat during sustained track use, and the full hardware kit — springs, bolts and a pillion footrest removal bracket for a cleaner racing silhouette — means no additional purchases are required before heading to the grid.
Fitment and Compatibility
The SC-Project SC1-R slip-on silencer (350mm) with part numbers A27A-T93C (carbon) and A27A-T93T (titanium) is designed exclusively for the following application:
