Performance & Sound

Improved exhaust flow sharpens throttle response across the rev range, exactly where the R1's crossplane-crank engine demands it. The SC1-R canister has been acoustically tuned to replicate the signature SC-Project MotoGP tone — deep, pressured and unmistakably Italian in character. A db-killer is included for circuits with noise restrictions, giving you full control over sound output.

Every SC1-R canister is constructed from aerospace-grade materials using T.I.G. welding for consistent, race-strength joins. CNC-machined titanium sleeves ensure an exact interface with the link pipe, eliminating leaks and vibration. The carbon fibre heat shield protects surrounding bodywork and contributes to the overall weight reduction, while the hydroformed carbon end cap resists extreme exhaust temperatures without discolouration or distortion. Two finish options — carbon or titanium — allow you to match the canister to your livery or personal preference.

Fitment & Compatibility

This kit is designed specifically for the Yamaha YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M with chassis code RN49, covering model years 2017, 2018 and 2019. It connects to the original mid-pipe and retains the OEM lambda sensor port. The mounting bracket is designed around the single-seat configuration common on track-prepared R1s, and pillion footpeg compatibility is maintained.
