Construction and Craftsmanship

SC-Project designed the S1 around a conical full-titanium silencer body — the same tapered geometry you see on factory World Superbike machinery. High-temperature acoustic damping material within the canister has been tuned specifically for the crossplane-crank character of the R1 engine, producing a deep, dark, aggressive race note that builds with revs. The titanium flame mesh at the outlet is a detail borrowed straight from SC-Project's competition catalogue.

Sound and Road Use

With the dB-killer fitted, the S1 sits within EURO 4 noise limits and is fully road-legal throughout Europe. Remove it for track days and the exhaust note opens up considerably, revealing the full acoustic presence that has made this system a favourite among R1 trackday riders. The transition between the two states is straightforward — the dB-killer seats securely and can be swapped in minutes at the paddock.

Installation
