DescriptionThe whole story▼
Engineered to capture the raw aesthetic of vintage race machines, the Puig front number plate for the Macbor Eight Mile 500 Scrambler transforms the retro-scrambler silhouette with a purposeful, track-inspired detail that is every bit as functional as it is striking. Designed to evoke the number boards of classic competition motorcycles, this ABS front plate brings authentic racing character to your Macbor without sacrificing road legality.
Key Features
- Racing-heritage styling: draws directly from the number board tradition of classic enduro and scrambler competition machines, giving the Eight Mile 500 an unmistakable retro-race identity.
- High-impact ABS construction: acrylonitrile butadiene styrene offers excellent resistance to trail debris, stone strikes, and UV degradation — practical durability wrapped in period-correct form.
- Aerodynamic benefit: the shaped profile improves airflow around the front end and contributes to improved stability at speed.
- Road-legal German TÜV and ABE homologation: certified to ABE KBA 38007 WS22, confirming compliance with German type-approval standards for use on public roads.
- Available in matt black or carbon-look finish, and in both symmetric and asymmetric shapes to suit your preferred aesthetic.
- Dedicated mounting kit for the Macbor Eight Mile 500 Scrambler ensures a precise, rattle-free fit with no fabrication required.
Design Concept
Puig began by studying the number plates carried by factory scrambler and enduro racers of the 1960s and 1970s — functional panels that defined the face of an entire era. Rather than producing a simple cosmetic replica, the design team engineered a component that retains that characteristic race-board silhouette while meeting modern quality and safety requirements. The result sits naturally on retro-vintage machines, reinforcing the Eight Mile 500's adventure-scrambler character without looking like an afterthought.
Finish Options
The matt black version pairs cleanly with satin or matte paintwork, absorbing light for an understated, purposeful look. The carbon-look variant adds a contemporary performance reference that contrasts well against lighter bodywork. Both finishes are designed to resist fading and surface abrasion through regular use.
Homologation
Please review the ABE certificate carefully before fitting this part to confirm it is appropriate for your specific motorcycle and registration. The relevant approval code is ABE KBA 38007 WS22, issued under German TÜV quality standards. Puig also offers a universal mounting version of the front plate for retro motorcycles that do not have a dedicated hardware kit available.
