DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Puig engine spoiler for the Yamaha Tracer 9 (2021–2026) delivers a genuine aerodynamic upgrade without compromising the bike's silhouette — shaped in Barcelona to follow the exact lines and volumes of the Tracer 9's lower bodywork, it reduces turbulence, adds real downforce stability at speed, and shields the engine bay from road debris and impacts mile after mile.
Key Features
- Designed and wind-tunnel tested for improved airflow and downforce stability specific to the Tracer 9 platform.
- Moulded from high-grade ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) with a built-in surface treatment that resists chemical agents and ultraviolet solar rays — no painting required.
- Resistant to shocks and impacts, protecting the lower section of your motorcycle from stones, road dirt and accidental knocks.
- Homologated to ABE KBA 30653 BS and compliant with German TÜV quality standards, so it is road-legal across EU markets.
- Lightweight construction at 1,362 g keeps unsprung and front-end mass in check.
- Step-by-step paper instructions and video tutorial make for a fast, straightforward installation — no specialist tools required.
Crafted in Barcelona, Engineered for the Road
Puig has been producing motorcycle aerodynamic add-on parts in Barcelona for decades, and the engineering philosophy shows in the detail work here. The ABS panels are pressed to a precise fit against the Tracer 9's frame and fairing geometry, eliminating the gaps and misalignment that plague generic side spoilers. Metal support brackets are fabricated from 2 mm steel with an anti-corrosion treatment, keeping the assembly rigid over years of all-weather use.
The integrated UV-resistant surface layer means the finish holds its colour without the cost or faff of aftermarket painting. Whether you choose the clean matte black finish or the carbon-look variant, the spoiler reads as a factory-fitted aero kit rather than a bolt-on afterthought. Most models also include a sticker kit for further personalisation.
Aerodynamic Performance and Everyday Protection
Virtual wind-tunnel development underpins the shape of this downforce spoiler. At motorway speeds the Tracer 9 benefits from reduced lift at the front, which translates into a more planted, confidence-inspiring ride particularly when loaded with luggage. At the same time the sport spoiler acts as a stone guard, keeping grit and road spray away from the engine, oil cooler and lower fairing components — reducing long-term wear on parts that are costly to replace.
If your Tracer 9 is fitted with aftermarket exhaust pipes, a non-standard mudguard or other add-on parts in the lower section of the motorcycle, please contact us before ordering to confirm there is no interference with the Puig engine spoiler. We are happy to advise.
