Track-Bred Construction

The Piega R sits above the standard Piega in OZ's racing hierarchy, taking the same iconic five-spoke silhouette and refining it further through weight reduction and tighter manufacturing tolerances. Forging the aluminium billet rather than casting it produces a denser, more consistent grain structure — the result is a wheel that handles the repeated thermal and mechanical stresses of track riding without flex or fatigue. The anodised surface treatment provides corrosion resistance and a finish that holds its colour under the heat cycles a race day generates.

Performance on Circuit

Lower rotating inertia at the rear axle means the engine spends less energy accelerating the wheel itself, which translates directly into crisper throttle response exiting corners and improved braking stability on the way in.
