DescriptionThe whole story▼
Born in OZ's Superbike Racing division, the Piega rear wheel brings genuine SBK-derived engineering to your Suzuki GSX-R 1000. Its five-spoke forged aluminium construction slashes rotational mass for noticeably sharper turn-in and more responsive handling at every speed — whether you're threading traffic on a Sunday morning or chasing lap times on track.
Key Features
- Five-spoke Piega design developed directly by the OZ SBK Racing department for an optimal balance of stiffness and low weight.
- Forged from high-grade aluminium — lighter and stronger than cast alternatives, with the durability to handle both road and track demands day after day.
- Reduced rotational mass translates to quicker acceleration response, more agile handling and greater stability at high speed.
- Available in three anodised finishes: gloss black, techno black and techno gold — each complementing the aggressive lines of the GSX-R 1000.
- Made in Italy to the exacting quality standards OZ Racing is known for across MotoGP and WorldSBK.
- Supplied complete with quality bearings, aluminium angled valves, spacers (where required) and a sprocket carrier — note: the original rear sprocket is not compatible and must be replaced.
Performance on Road and Track
The Piega's geometry has been engineered to strike the ideal compromise between lightweight construction and structural rigidity. On the road, that means the GSX-R feels more responsive to rider inputs with less effort needed to change direction. On track, the reduction in unsprung and rotational weight allows the suspension to work more effectively, improving traction out of slow corners and reducing fatigue over a full session. The anodised finish is not purely cosmetic — it adds a protective layer that resists corrosion and the everyday punishment of tyre changes and track use.
Fitment & Compatibility
This rear wheel is engineered specifically for the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 covering model years 2017 to 2023. The included sprocket carrier is required as the original Suzuki rear sprocket will not fit directly. Spacers are included and fitted only where the installation requires them. If you are unsure of compatibility with your specific variant, please contact the Inter-Pace team before ordering.
