DescriptionThe whole story▼
Born in OZ's SBK Racing division, the Piega rear wheel for the Ducati Panigale V2 955 is a masterclass in forged-aluminium construction. Every spoke, every surface and every bearing seat is machined to racing tolerances, delivering a reduction in unsprung and rotating mass that transforms the way your Panigale changes direction, brakes and accelerates — on road or on track.
Key Features
- Forged aluminium construction for an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and long-term durability under sustained high-stress riding.
- Iconic five-spoke Piega design — developed directly by OZ's SBK Racing engineers and equally at home on a Sunday morning road ride or a track day.
- Reduced rotating mass delivers measurably improved agility, sharper turn-in and more responsive braking compared to the standard cast wheel.
- Available in three premium anodised finishes: gloss black, techno black and techno gold — each applied with the same care as the wheel itself.
- Supplied complete with quality bearings, aluminium angled valve and spacers where required, so fitment is straightforward from the box.
- Made in Italy — OZ's Italian manufacturing heritage guarantees dimensional accuracy and finish consistency across every unit.
Build Quality & Materials
OZ chooses forging over casting for the Piega not simply to reduce weight, but because the forging process aligns the aluminium grain structure along the lines of stress, producing a wheel that is inherently tougher and more fatigue-resistant. The result is a rim that can handle the repeated lateral loads of aggressive corner entry and the braking forces of a high-performance superbike without flex or long-term deformation. The anodised finish is applied after final machining, protecting the alloy against corrosion and abrasion while keeping the surface looking sharp after seasons of use.
On Road and On Track
The Panigale V2 955 is a machine that rewards precise inputs, and the Piega wheel amplifies that quality. Lighter rotating mass means the engine does less work to spin the wheel up, chassis transitions feel more immediate, and mid-corner adjustments are crisper. Whether you are threading through mountain passes or chasing lap times, the improvement in feel and response is tangible. The 5.50 x 17 rear dimension matches OEM tyre fitment exactly, so your existing tyre choice carries straight across without compromise.
