DescriptionThe whole story▼
Wave washer 22/25/5.3, Öhlins part number 15487-01. Stainless where corrosion matters, hardened where load matters — the choice is made per position.
Key Features
- Öhlins part number 15487-01
- Original Öhlins service part
- Dimension C 5.3 mm
- Dimension A 22 mm
- Dimension B 25 mm
Where It Sits
Öhlins gives it as 22 mm, 25 mm, 5.3 mm; nothing about that is approximate. Öhlins publishes them in the exploded view so a workshop can order the whole position at once. Shoulder screws set a clearance as well as clamping, which is why the length is exact. A plug that seals a gas port is a pressure part despite its size.
Genuine Service Part
Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation.
Identifying the Right Part
Order under 15487-01. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. The published dimensions are dimension a 22 mm, dimension b 25 mm, dimension c 5.3 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Pins and dowels locate parts to each other; without them the assembly is merely clamped, not positioned. Ordering the small parts with the seal kit saves the second delivery that most rebuilds otherwise need.
Fitting and Setup Service
Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.
