Function
Öhlins publishes 24.8 mm, 31 mm, 0.3 mm for 04749-03 — the dimensions are the identity of the part. Spacers set the internal geometry of the unit, which means their length is a specification and not a filler. Circlips are single-use in practice: once sprung, they no longer hold their groove reliably. Öhlins lists these individually because a service usually needs a handful of them.
Original Öhlins Part
Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not.
Identifying the Right Part
04749-03 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. The published dimensions are dimension a 24.8 mm, dimension b 31 mm, dimension c 0.3 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Small parts are cheap until one of them is missing on a Friday afternoon. Sealing washers are consumables — they take their shape on first assembly.
Fitting and Setup Service
Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.
