DescriptionThe whole story▼
For the 2026 Husqvarna TE 125, Öhlins supplies part number DMX 1309. Damping that fades turns a predictable TE 125 into one that has to be ridden around.
Key Features
- Length 457 mm, set for this chassis
- 137 mm working stroke
- Direct fitment on the Husqvarna TE 125 (2026)
Construction and Material Quality
Anodising is hard-coat rather than decorative, which matters on a component exposed to road salt and stone chips. Öhlins machines its own critical components instead of buying them in, and the tolerances are where the money goes. Every unit is dyno-tested against the curve held for its part number, not sampled from a batch.
Setting It Up for the TE 125
The 125 cc engine sets how quickly weight transfers, and damping has to be matched to that rather than to a class average. An enduro bike is ridden slowly far more often than quickly, and the damping that matters most is the damping at low shaft speed.
Damping and Adjustment
Öhlins quotes 137 mm of damper stroke for this fitment. 1304 is the Öhlins oil specification for this number. At 457 mm it matches the standard unit's installed length exactly. Öhlins publishes a baseline setting for each part number, which is the sensible starting point. Preload is set separately again, and preload is what determines static sag rather than damping.
About the TTX Flow DV Range
The DV valving separates high-speed from low-speed compression, so square-edged braking bumps and the slow squat of a corner exit can be tuned apart. Service intervals are short by road standards — this is a racing damper, and Öhlins expects it to be opened regularly. Öhlins supplies a baseline setting for each part number, established on the machine it is listed against.
Fitment and Compatibility
Part number DMX 1309 and the Husqvarna TE 125 (2026) belong together; other model years take other numbers. Öhlins lists no other machine against this number, so it is not a unit that can be adapted to a neighbouring model. Öhlins notes for this application: 06310- spring series. Preload adjuster 15000-02 fits this shock. *Replaces DMX 0309*
Road Approval
Road approval: unclear. There is no published German approval for this part on the Husqvarna TE 125, and we would rather tell you that than imply one exists.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins components deliver what they promise once they are fitted and set up properly. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do exactly that in house — installation, service and setup. Simply ask if you would like us to take care of it.
