DescriptionThe whole story▼
Part number FCX 2304 is what Öhlins supplies for the Husqvarna TX 300, model years 2024–2026. This is the least invasive way to fix an underdamped front end on the TX 300.
Key Features
- Model-specific fitment for the Husqvarna TX 300 (2024–2026) — no modification required
- 298 mm of damper stroke
The TTX 22 in Detail
Braking bumps and rutted corner entries are where a standard cartridge packs down and this one does not. The TTX 22 puts Öhlins' twin-tube damping inside the fork leg rather than in the shock. Compression and rebound run as separate pressurised circuits, so neither starves the other on a fast series of hits.
What This Means on the TX 300
Öhlins covers the 3-year production run of this generation with a single part number, which means the mounting and the linkage stayed unchanged across it. The 300 cc engine sets how quickly weight transfers, and damping has to be matched to that rather than to a class average. Enduro use means long days, hot oil and terrain that changes every hundred metres.
Materials and Manufacture
Anodising is hard-coat rather than decorative, which matters on a component exposed to road salt and stone chips. Service parts stay available for years after a part number leaves the current price list. Öhlins machines the cartridge bodies to fit inside the standard fork tubes with no modification to the legs.
Damping Performance
Öhlins specifies 1330 for this application, and the damping curve assumes that oil. Öhlins builds it to 940 mm between the eyes for this chassis. Damper stroke comes to 298 mm on this number. Compression and rebound become separately adjustable, which on most standard forks they were not. Setting front-end support under braking no longer means also changing how quickly the fork returns.
Fitment and Compatibility
The fitment stated here is the Husqvarna TX 300 in its 2024–2026 form, under Öhlins part number FCX 2304. Nothing about it is generic — the mounting dimensions alone rule out a different model. Öhlins notes for this application: Spring series 08765-XX. *Replaces FCX 1304*
Road Approval
Road approval: Öhlins publishes no approval status for this combination. Rather than guess, we say so — ask us before ordering if road use matters to you.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins suspension rewards careful fitting. We recommend having the work done by an authorised Öhlins service centre — and we are one ourselves: we fit, service and set up Öhlins components in house. If you would like us to handle the installation, just ask and we will quote it with the order.
