DescriptionThe whole story▼
FCX 2205 is the Öhlins number for the Husqvarna TC 125 as sold between 2021 and 2026. This is the least invasive way to fix an underdamped front end on the TC 125.
Key Features
- Bolts to the Husqvarna TC 125 (2021–2026) using the standard mounting points
- 292 mm working stroke
Construction and Material Quality
Every Öhlins dealer can re-valve the unit, because the shim stack is a documented, serviceable assembly. Anodising is hard-coat rather than decorative, which matters on a component exposed to road salt and stone chips. The cartridges are supplied as a matched pair, tested together before packing.
Where This Sits in the Öhlins Line-up
The cartridge fits inside the standard fork legs; the outer tubes and clamps stay on the bike. Motocross and enduro forks take more abuse in an hour than a road fork takes in a season. The TTX 22 answers that with separated, pressurised compression and rebound circuits inside the fork leg.
The TC 125 in Particular
The 2021–2026 generation kept the same chassis dimensions throughout, so one Öhlins number serves the whole run. On a motocross bike the suspension is the component that decides lap time once the rider is fit enough. At 125 cc the TC 125 makes enough torque to load the rear hard on corner exit, and the damper has to keep the wheel in contact while that happens.
Damping and Adjustment
Fill specification is 1330, which is part of the setting rather than a detail. Öhlins builds it to 940 mm between the eyes for this chassis. Stroke is 292 mm, which is the travel Öhlins has to work with on this linkage. The kit is re-valvable, so a suspension technician can go beyond the click range if needed. Adjusters are at the fork tops and marked in clicks from fully closed.
Fitment and Compatibility
The fitment stated here is the Husqvarna TC 125 in its 2021–2026 form, under Öhlins part number FCX 2205. Nothing about it is generic — the mounting dimensions alone rule out a different model. Öhlins notes for this application: 08765- spring series *Replaces FCX 1205*
