DescriptionThe whole story▼
Öhlins lists part number FCX 1205 for one machine: the Husqvarna TC 125 built 2021–2025. This is the least invasive way to fix an underdamped front end on the TC 125.
Key Features
- Listed by Öhlins for the Husqvarna TC 125 (2021–2025) and no other machine
- Supplied with Öhlins spring 08765-XX Öl-Empfehlung: 01330-xx
- 292 mm working stroke
How Öhlins Builds It
Seals are specified for temperature stability rather than for the lowest unit cost. Öhlins sets a baseline for each part number on the machine it was developed on, so it works before anything is adjusted. Machining, anodising, assembly and testing all happen in the same building rather than across a supply chain.
Damping and Adjustment
Spring 08765-XX Öl-Empfehlung: 01330-xx is what ships with the damper; harder and softer rates are available. The available stroke of 292 mm sets how much wheel travel the shim stack has to control. Eye-to-eye length is 940 mm, fixed for this application. Setting front-end support under braking no longer means also changing how quickly the fork returns. Each fork leg takes one function, so each adjuster has a single, clear effect.
Why This Machine Needs It
Braking bumps and jump landings load the suspension at the two extremes of its range within the same corner. This part number spans model years 2021 to 2025; earlier and later generations take different numbers. At 125 cc the TC 125 makes enough torque to load the rear hard on corner exit, and the damper has to keep the wheel in contact while that happens.
About the TTX 22 Range
Damping stays consistent as the oil heats and the hits keep coming — which is the whole point on a rutted track. The TTX 22 puts Öhlins' twin-tube damping inside the fork leg rather than in the shock. The TTX 22 cartridge kit brings Öhlins' twin-tube principle into the front fork.
Fitment and Compatibility
Öhlins part number FCX 1205 is the correct number for the Husqvarna TC 125 as built 2021–2025. It is model-specific rather than universal: length, stroke and valving are all set for this chassis.
Road Approval
Road approval: unclear. There is no published German approval for this part on the Husqvarna TC 125, and we would rather tell you that than imply one exists.
