Key Features
- Öhlins part number 00441-11
- Original Öhlins service part
- Dimension B 63 mm
- Thread M10x1.25
- Dimension A 1.25 mm
Function
This one measures 1.25 mm, 63 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. Öhlins publishes an exploded view for each unit, and every position in it carries its own number. Availability of individual parts is one reason Öhlins units stay in service for decades. Ordering by number from the exploded view is the reliable way to get the right piece.
Why the Original
Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.
Getting the Number Right
If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 00441-11. Öhlins states dimension a 1.25 mm, dimension b 63 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. This part comes from the same production line as the components it is fitted to. Öhlins publishes an exploded view for each unit, and every position in it carries its own number.
Fitting and Setup Service
A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.
