What It Is
This one measures 12 mm, 37 mm, 2 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. These are the parts that are easy to lose on the bench and impossible to improvise afterwards. Öhlins lists washers by thickness because it forms part of the internal stack height. Öhlins lists these individually because a service usually needs a handful of them.
Genuine Service Part
Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it.
Getting the Number Right
The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 15027-01 in this case. Check dimension a 12 mm, dimension b 37 mm, dimension c 2 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Washers spread load and set clearance; in a damper both of those are specifications. Circlips hold axial position under load; a sprung one lets the assembly walk.
Fitting and Setup Service
We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.
