DescriptionThe whole story▼
Spring guide 67/70/90/21, Öhlins part number 05193-09. Free length and inner diameter decide whether a spring fits; the rate decides whether it suits.
Key Features
- Dimension C 90 mm
- Dimension A 67 mm
- Öhlins part number 05193-09
- Dimension B 70 mm
- Original Öhlins service part
What It Is
This one measures 67 mm, 70 mm, 90 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. Springs are the cheapest suspension part and the one that decides the most. Öhlins publishes sag targets, and those are the reference for choosing a rate. Free length and inner diameter decide fit; the rate decides behaviour.
Genuine Service Part
Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier.
Identifying the Right Part
If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 05193-09. Öhlins states dimension a 67 mm, dimension b 70 mm, dimension c 90 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Öhlins publishes sag targets, and those are the reference for choosing a rate. A spring that has settled in service sits shorter than new and quietly lowers the ride height.
Fitting and Setup Service
A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.
