DescriptionThe whole story▼
Spacer ball joint, 9.5x38.5 alu, Öhlins part number 25218-09. Ordering the small parts with the seal kit saves the second delivery that most rebuilds otherwise need.
Key Features
- Öhlins part number 25218-09
- Original Öhlins service part
What It Is
There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Width is what has to match — the bore follows the bearing. Fasteners in a damper see pressure, heat and vibration at once, which is why the grade matters. Öhlins gives every washer and spacer its own part number because its length or thickness is part of the internal geometry.
Why the Original
The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.
Identifying the Right Part
25218-09 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Shoulder screws set a clearance as well as clamping, which is why the length is exact. Öhlins publishes them in the exploded view so a workshop can order the whole position at once.
Fitting and Setup Service
Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.
