Function
Öhlins publishes 8 mm, 15 mm, 5.5 mm for 04733-05 — the dimensions are the identity of the part. Öhlins gives every washer and spacer its own part number because its length or thickness is part of the internal geometry. Ordering the small parts with the seal kit saves the second delivery that most rebuilds otherwise need. Its length is a specification, not a filler — a millimetre changes what the unit does.
Why the Original
This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.
How to Be Sure It Fits
The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 04733-05 in this case. Check dimension a 8 mm, dimension b 15 mm, dimension c 5.5 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Small parts are what hold a rebuild together — the wrong circlip or washer is enough to fail the job. Its length is a specification, not a filler — a millimetre changes what the unit does.
Fitting and Setup Service
If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.
