Key Features
- Öhlins part number 03204-01
- Inner Diameter 10 mm
- Original Öhlins service part
- Length 18 mm
- Outer Diameter 17 mm
Function
Öhlins publishes 10 mm, 17 mm, 18 mm for 03204-01 — the dimensions are the identity of the part. Play at a bushing lets the shaft run off centre and the seal wears unevenly. Inner and outer diameter both matter; a bushing that is a little loose does more damage than none at all. Bushings carry the side load in a damper or fork and keep the moving parts concentric.
Why the Original
Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.
Getting the Number Right
If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 03204-01. The published dimensions are inner diameter 10 mm, outer diameter 17 mm, length 18 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Play at a bushing lets the shaft run off centre and the seal wears unevenly. Both diameters and the length are specification, not approximation.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.
