What It Is
05129-07 is the 50 mm, 16 mm version — Öhlins lists each size separately. Nitrile, Viton and PTFE behave differently with temperature, and Öhlins picks per position. A seal that has taken a set no longer springs back and starts to weep. Seal kits gather the pieces one rebuild needs, which avoids a second order mid-job.

Getting the Number Right
The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 05129-07 in this case. Check inner diameter 50 mm, outer diameter 16 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Seals harden with heat and age even when the machine has not been ridden much. An oil seal that has hardened lets the shaft pass oil past it, and the damping fades long before the leak becomes visible.
